Marvel Legend Stan Lee Calls His AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Cameo His Funniest Yet; Thanks Fans At Premiere Event

Despite his recent health struggles and reports of lawsuits, Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee made it out to the red carpet premiere of Avengers: Infinity War where he not only thanked fans for supporting his work, but also dropped quite the teaser for his latest cameo.

Asked what he would to say to fans coming out to see his work - as in the Marvel universe he helped create - Lee took the question quite literally and talked not about the characters he helped create, but his cameo roles in the films.

“I want to thank them for having spent all these years coming to see my cameos, and of course watching the movie with it," Lee said. "And now I think they’re going to find the funniest cameo of all. I can’t wait ‘til they see it.”

Lee has had a brief cameo appearance in every Marvel movie to date, and most of them are usually pretty funny. So for him to call his Avengers: Infinity War cameo the funniest yet is quite the statement. We’ll find out what that cameo will be soon enough as Avengers: Infinity War finally hits theaters this week.

At 95 years old, fans have begun to question just how much longer we can expect to see Lee pop up in Marvel movies. The answer is at least a few more, as it was recently revealed by Infinity War co-director Joe Russo that Lee has already filmed his cameos for at least three more movies.

Check out the full interview with Stan Lee at the Avengers: Infinity War premiere below.

If this cameo is the best, then I wonder how Avengers 4 will top it?

Just back from the German press screening ... Spoiler addicts are welcome in the inbox. Good, entertaining movie that doesn't live up to the hype, which is kinda impossible though. Feels very much like the first part only, script isn't horribly artful. Music is great. Some things missing painfully. Thanos is the first villain that impresses me since Loki though. Fun ride, maybe next one will make it even better.

@hawkeyelover - "Fun ride"

Not good enough. I must see this for myself.

@KWilly - I love the MCU (tho some creative decisions during phase 3 and in AOU killed some of that love), it's one of my big geek 'verses. But I've always said, ever since phase 1, I'm still waiting for that moment when I shed tears over a MCU movie. I usually get very sappy with movies, books series, I sniffle easily. Still hasn't happened in the MCU. Makes me sad.

The closer we get to A3 I keep thinking about A4. I'm dying to see A3 obviously but A4 is when contracts end...And I heard its supposed to be bigger than A3...

Supposedly his cameo is very minor and not all that interesting.

Hardly his best one yet, but it seems Stan says that for all of his cameos.

The one from Spider-Man 3 is probably my favorite, followed by the one from GotG, Vol. 2

Stan looks GREAT! Considering he had a serious bout with pneumonia several weeks ago (hospitalized), and all the legal drama involving his daughter and caretakers, he looks superb for his age.
