To commemorate the first decade of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the release of Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel have put together an artbook entitled:
The Road to Marvel's AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR - The Art of the Marvel Cinematic Universe
It will be releasing on the 1st of May, after Infinity War's release - so the book will most likely hold art for the Avengers sequel, along with the rest of the films. Its hardcover version is currently priced (on Amazon) at $45. The Amazon website features a synopsis for the book, which reads:
The Avengers have come a long way since they first assembled to fight off an alien invasion. The past five years have brought more and more challenges, and Earth's Mightiest Heroes have always risen to face them. But have they finally met their match in the intergalactic despot Thanos, who seeks to inflict his twisted will on all of reality? Just in time for the highly anticipated event, this keepsake volume celebrates the characters and concepts that will converge in May 2018, collecting art, interviews, and photography from films leading up to Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War.
Unlike the Infinity War promos, the cover does feature Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye, although some characters like Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther, Paul Bettany's Vision, and Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch have sadly hit the cutting room floor.
Still, despite some missing characters, the artwork is truly something to behold. What do you think? Will you be picking this up when it releases on May 1st?
