Paul Bettany Says That He Has NOT Yet Been Approached To Voice Jarvis In The Avengers!

The star, who supplied the voice of Jarvis in Iron Man and Iron Man 2, says that despite recent reports he most definitely has not yet been asked to reprise the role for The Avengers...

Talking to Collider, the British actor has debunked the recent reports that he would definitely be back to supply the vocals for Iron Man's computerized assistant in highly anticipated superhero team-up, The Avengers. It would appear that a mistake was made somewhere along the line and he did in fact NOT say he's involved with the project. However, it's worth noting that Bettany has in the past revealed that he's often not contacted by Marvel Studios until fairly late in the production, so there's a chance we might still see (well, hear) him yet!

With an all star cast which includes Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Rufallo as Bruce Banner, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, Clark Gregg as Agent Coulson, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Tom Hiddleston as Loki, The Avengers is set to be released on May 4, 2012!

not suprised he hasnt been contacted yet. He didnt do the voice work for either Iron Man film until post production. He came in and did all of his recordings within a day or two.

He said the same bout Iron Man 2 :) voice acting is added on during editing so it'll still be a while. I'm hoping they cast him as Ultron, they could have Ultron be created by both Pym and Stark with Stark adding parts of J.A.R.V.I.S into Ultron thus sharing the same voice 0_o

He said a similar thing a while ago then confirmed he was!?

He usually doesn't do it until near the end of filming anyway so no panic...yet

I'm kind of sad that they didn't bring him in "in the flesh". Put him in make-up to make him look older, and say Tony based the A.I. version on his family's real life butler.

The Avengers without Jarvis is just wrong.
