THE AVENGERS Concept Art Reveals A Closer Look At Marvel Studios' Original Design For The Mad Titan

When Thanos made his first appearance in the MCU way back in 2012's The Avengers, he was played by Damion Poitier and brought to life with practical effects rather than VFX. By the time he returned in 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel Studios had cast Josh Brolin as the iconic comic book villain and the rest, as they say, is history!

Now, thanks to Ironhead Studios' Jose Fernandez, we have some concept art revealing some original designs for the Mad Titan, and they're definitely very different to Brolin's version.

The fan-favourite bad guy certainly looks pretty formidable here but, as you can see in the banner image above, that didn't translate to real-life particularly well. However, had a CGI version of this Thanos made it to the big screen, it's hard to imagine too many comic book fans would have complained.
