THE BATMAN Director Matt Reeves Says That Ben Affleck Is "For Sure" Still On Board To Play The Dark Knight
Though we never really had any solid reasons to suspect that Affleck wasn't still on board to play The Batman, rumours have persisted nonetheless. Now, Matt Reeves sets the record straight.
When Ben Affleck stepped down as director on Warner Bros.' next solo outing for The Batman, rumors sprang up that he may also be considering hanging up the cape 'n cowl and walking away from the role as well.
Though there was never really anything to this, speculation continued to mount and some fans became worried when we didn't receive any official word from the studio to confirm that the Justice League actor was still on board.
Well, worry no longer.
While being interviewed on the red carpet for the War for The Planet of The Apes premiere, director Matt Reeves assured Getty that Affleck would indeed be reprising the role of The Caped Crusader for The Batman.
