The Batman is 2022's first massive blockbuster (no offence, Uncharted), and with an IP this huge, all eyes will be on the Dark Knight to see whether the box office has truly recovered or not.

Over the coming weeks, we're expecting to see a lot more from the movie, and the merchandise rollout has begun today with a couple of teaser videos for Hot Toys' upcoming Batman 1/6th scale collectable action figure. As you can see, it looks like we'll be getting both the Dark Knight and his bike, though we'd bet on figures for The Riddler, Catwoman, and The Penguin following.

It's also worth pointing out that many companies have been releasing toys featuring Batman in that red lighting from the first teaser. Hot Toys doing the same thing wouldn't surprise us, but the most exciting part of this eventual reveal is going to be getting a much better look at the new Batsuit.

The new costume looks very different to past iterations, so we're curious what surprises it holds in store for us.

The Batman finds the Caped Crusader in his early years, struggling to balance rage with righteousness as he investigates a disturbing mystery that has terrorized Gotham. Robert Pattinson delivers a raw, intense portrayal of Batman as a disillusioned, desperate vigilante awakened by the realization that the anger consuming him makes him no better than the ruthless serial killer he’s hunting.

Joining Pattinson in the star-studded ensemble are Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle; Paul Dano as Edward Nashton; Jeffrey Wright as the GCPD’s James Gordon; John Turturro as Carmine Falcone; Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson; Barry Keoghan as Officer Stanley Merkel; Jayme Lawson as mayoral candidate Bella Reál; with Andy Serkis as Alfred; and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot.

The Batman is set to be released in theaters on March 4.

I just want to know what the pointless arrow points in his gauntlets are about ...they make it look very busy and makes a lot if noise for me ..looks like drills spare pieces.
And the headpiece stills looks wonky and funny.

@Malatrova234 - I think it makes sense that his suit is bulky and busy looking for this one. It’s year two Batman and he’s still not as sleek and refined as he’d (of course I’m assuming) become, you know?

@Malatrova234 - Could be pieces for his grapple gun. Otherwise, I don't know either.

I love the design of this suit it had to grow on me! I see influences from many different versions of Batman in this suit and I love it! Can’t wait for this film!

Definitely got the chin to play a superhero.

I know this might sound stupid, but part of be looks at this movie like the sequel to the Dark Knight we never got. The one where Heath Ledger didn't die, and Batman didn't just disappear for 8 years until bane broke his back.

@TheMapleSyrup - yeah I get the feeling pieces of Nolan scripts found their way into this.

@TheMapleSyrup - I can see that. Batman Begins and the Dark Knight felt like they were building to a status quo that we never really got to explore. Even if it's subconscious, that narrative vacuum might have influenced this movie's production (especially as a way of consciously pivoting away from the DCEU).

Apart from the chest plate I'm still disliking this suit. I've been hoping for it to grow on me, but I just can't find a way to like it.

Pattinson definilty has the jaw for a cowl though, and I like that they're not shying away from the eye shadow 😅

Hopefully the rumours are true and he upgrades in act 3.

@UniqNo - One of the good and bad things about these movies is that they want to sell toys, so that means at least two costumes per movie (and rarely repeating those costumes in the future, even if they're already good).

@Spock0Clock - Man, do you remember when Batman & Robin came out. As a kid I didn't mind how crap the movie was, but man I was all over those toys! so many alterations 🤣🤣

@UniqNo - it's his second year as Batman, also he has a second suit in the end, but they just hasn't showed it yet. All of these scenes are from the first act and some are from the start of the second act.
