More From Michael Caine On Batman 3 And Working With Christopher Nolan!

In a fully transcribed version of his recent radio interview, the actor talks about his secretive relationship with Chris Nolan, the chances of returning for Batman 3 and how he got the role of Alfred...

I'm sure that you'll remember me posting an interview with Sir Michael Caine a few days ago where he talked about Batman 3 possibly being the movie he decides to end his career with. That was transcribed from a recent radio interview he did with the BBC, and here is the full version of that which includes plenty of new information from the legendary actor!

On Returning For Batman 3:

"There will be a new Batman. It will probably start in May next year. I assume I'm there, but in the movie business you never believe anything, you assume. But I've been in the last four Chris Nolan pictures, he's my lucky charm. I did 'Prestige', and recently 'Inception', I'm hoping to do another one. He's written the new one."

On Whether Or Not He Knows Who The Villain Will Be:

"No one will tell you. Chris is the most secretive man in the world."

On Getting The Role Of Alfred The Butler:

The first time when he asked me to do 'Batman Begins', I played a butler, he came to my house on a Sunday morning, he had the script. He went and said, 'Can you read it now,' so I read it and said, 'It's fantastic, I'll do it' so I went to put the script in my office and he said, 'No, I want it back.'"

"He waited until I finished reading, had a cup of tea with my missus and then took the script away again in case someone saw it. Actors are such silly sods they don't know what they're doing half the time."

So, what can we learn from this? Clearly, Christopher Nolan is even more secretive than we ever gave him credit for and I guess we shouldnt expect to see any news leak out about this movie until he and Warner Bros decide to release it themselves! Regardless, I think it's fair to say that Batman is in great hands with the secretive director. The new movie is set to be released on July 20, 2012!

DLM: LMAO, I can see how that might sound a little dodgy! :D Love your avatar by the way - when the hell are Marvel going to get on with making a Captain Britain movie is what I'd like to know! Guess they'll need to give the poor guy his own comic book again first...so much for making him an Avenger back at the start of the "Heroic Age".

Star@ lol.

Josh@ Cheers dude.

Yeah i'd like to know too. The problem with CapB is, as great as he is, the characters not popular and/or well known enough to support sales. Even tho (IMO) Captain Britain and MI13 was the best thing to come out of Secret Invasion.

Also no offence to Americans, but most of them are only bothered about their home grown heroes and couldn't care less about the foreign ones. It's a shame really because CapB is awesome.

They need to bring him into the Avengers and maybe crossovers to introduce him to more readers and so he can get the recognition he deserves. Grrr lol.

Bill@ Haha, yeah, bet they enter through the 'rear' entrance. lol. Too far? :P

@DLM thats not completely true, I have read only a little bit of Cap Britain, only cause its hard to find in Philadelphia, i had to go all the way down to Orlando studios in Florida to get the two graphic novels i have and both of them are great and i would love for them to make a Cap Britain movie but i agree they should get more recognition

also you can never go to far ;)

I don't want to see any villains that came out After robin!

Robin Needs to Be First!

Nolan needs to use his Brain and Make this Happen! in a Better Way Than BATMAN AND ROBIN with George Clooney pretending to be gay!

It might not be better than Dark Knight but it will still be very good. It should be better than Begins at least. Nolan will deliver.
