The Dark Knight Rises going for $100 a ticket!

As The Dark Knight Rises nears its official opening, midnight screenings are becoming scarce causing ticket prices to jump.

"How much would you pay to see the midnight show of “The Dark Knight Rises” on July 20?" asks Kelli B. Grant in an article on smartmoney.com.
The article continues with this piece of stunning yet not completely surprising bit of information:

"Asking prices for opening night tickets on Craigslist hit the $100-per-ticket mark in New York. On eBay, a Los Angeles seller wants $125 apiece, and another in Council Bluffs, Iowa is asking $140. And if you really want to be among the first to see it, there’s an eBay listing for two tickets to a 7 p.m. showing on July 19 in Los Angeles. The price: $300."

The article goes on to mention that midnight showings for Christopher Nolan's new Batman flick are becoming scarce. For most CBMers, there is nothing to worry about. Most probably bought their tickets online when they were first made available for sale in mid-June. I, myself, have two tickets to the Batman trilogy marathon, and am anxiously awaiting Thursday evening.

For those of you who have procrastinated, there is still hope. The SmartMoney article lists an article on the Huffington Post (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/13/the-dark-knight-rises-imax-tickets_n_1672558.html) that shows remaining midnight showings. They are running out so act fast.

I look forward to giving my review of The Dark Knight Rises and the Batman trilogy as a whole within the coming days.

Take care and stay thirsty my friends!

I'm sorry but you are a moron to pay 100 dollars for something that just five hours later will cost you 10.

Lol NO THANKS. I'm a college student. I'd have to be out of my mind to let $100 slip out of my hands for a [frick]ing movie. I dont care how good or "critically acclaimed" it is

At least 100 people are going to be dead, just 5 hours after TDKR opens. Just a thought. Not saying I'd do it.

Most I would pay is $11.50 since that is what the later showings of movies cost at some theaters here in Chicago.
