Which Female character do you want to see in The Dark Knight Rises

After Deadline broke the news and JoshW reported, I will continue tradition and host a Poll about the subject.

"Chris Nolan is lining up actresses he'll meet for two female lead roles in The Dark Knight Rises, the third installment of the Batfranchise which Warner Bros has dated release on July 20, 2012. I'm told one of the roles is a love interest for Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne, and the other is a villain. The actresses are: Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts, Blake Lively, Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway and Keira Knightley."

MrDCU: There are some key things to need to be address here and I will do them for people. Talia Ducard is the daughter of Herni Ducard who was revealed to be Ra's al Ghul in Batman Begins. She was living in Switzerland during the events of Batman Begins and she could come to Gotham seeking revenge. Shondra Kinsolving is a character that has been featured in Batman: Hush storyline and could be a basis for the new film with Tom Hardy playing Hush? Rachel Caspian is a character feauted in Batman: Year Two which could be a basis for the film. Julie Madison was linked last week with being in the film with Charlize Theron being linked with the role? Twice in 2 weeks sounds pretty solid but is it true? Linda Page is a nurse who treats the elderly and she could be a nurse looking after Alfred who is unwell who falls for Bruce and Bruce likewise and is caught up in the villains web.

Here are my votes: TALIA DUCARD (Rachel Weisz) and JULIE MADISON (Naomi Watts)

Or Talia as the love interest and Selina/Catwoman as the villain...or vice versa.

Silver St. Cloud was one of the best Batman love interests ever. Definately her.
What about Lady Shiva on that villian list. Lady Vic's on there and she's more a Nightwing villian. Is Lark really that major a villian? You do mean the Penguin's moll, right? I think she might be in it anyway, if that's who you mean. There has to be another mob boss and it's likely to be Cobblepot (unless they do Black Mask or Rupert Thorne or the Ventriloquist), so Lark could easily have a supporting role there.

I prefer catwoman over Talia because catwoman would have better action sequences unless they put a male villain that will really be fighting batman and use Talia as a terrorist threat to Gotham but I really wanna see bane and catwoman since theirs at least one female villain.

talk about the grave i've been in.. i haven't written an article in... half a year now? That's just blasphemous. OKAY!

I've never seen Catwoman as a villain. NEVER! In the old Adam West series, sure. In Brave & Bold animation? Sure. But never in the comics nor in the films.

She is just that rogue-ish character. Sure she does things that are against the law, but right after that she does things to aid Batman in his fight on crime. She's an anti-hero. Much like Batman.

My pick for love interest: SELINA KYLE (she doesn't have to be Catwoman)

My pick for Villain: TALIA AL GHUL

Totally agree with the article.
Rachael Weisz for Talia.

Blake Lively is playing Carol Ferris so she most defintively wont play in Bats. Portman is in the Marvel flick so she wont.

I wanna see both Thalia and Cats.

I do not want any of these actress's to be in the Dark Knight Rises, i would like Kara Tointon (EastEnders) or Chloe Annett (Red Dwarf) as Talia Al Ghul, Freema Agyeman (Doctor Who) as Selina Kyle/Catwoman and maybe Rita Simons (EastEnders as Dr Harleen Quinzel, not as a villan, but as a cameo intern in Arkham Asylum.

@Mrflibble
You watch waaay too much British TV. Except for Freema, none of those ladies can act. And apart from Chloe, they don't look too good either.

i would also like Sheridan Smith (Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps) to play Dr Harleen Quinzel .

Really, catwoman was in the 90's Batman Returns, and she had her own movie, but it really isnt worth watching! You should probably check out Batman Returns if you havent seen it.

I can definately see nolan casting rechel weisz. Nolan seems to enjoy casting the average looking brunette! Although shes alot better looking than the broad in TDK!

I bet just like the Riddler rumors, catwoman or talia is BS.

Who would be your backup choices, Dawn French as Catwoman? Craig Charles as Batgirl?

I said GODDAMN that DC Online trailer is awesome! I love it that Teth Adamn doesnt even stand a chance against Supes. And Hal fighting to the end. When the graphics get like that in real gameplay then I will be forever lost. However, Thalia would be a smart bet but I think Catwoman is just as plausible.

Yea man. That trailer is sweet! It'd be killer, if they did a cgi JLA movie of that quality! Im considering buying a PS3 just to play this game.

I'd have to say Talia of the two, because it could easily tie in with Batman Begins

AdamMichaels - 11/12/2010, 11:28 AM
If this is to be a trilogy and that's it, then I say the most logical choice would be Talia Al Ghul, because it will tie-in with Batman Begins and possibly bring a conclusion to the three Nolan films.

If WB has no plans on stopping there, then it's fair game for anyone: Talia, Catwoman, Vicki Vale, Harley Quinn, etc. etc.

Whatis wrong with British actors being in The Dark Knight Rises, i would not cast Dawn French as Catwoman or Craig Charles as BatGirl. By the way, If Nolan wanted to use Poison Ivy (which is unlikely) he should get Karen Gillan (Doctor Who) to play her.

I´m starting to think that Naomi Watts and Blake Lively are being tested for the role of Sarah Essen and the others are being tested for Talia.
I bet right now, officially, on Talia Al Ghul and Sarah Essen for the two female roles!
You read it here first.

Also on the DVD, Sofia Falcone is mentioned. I always just assumed that was her who shot Joe Chill. But maybe, it is about legacy and the female villian is Sofia Falcone and the love interest is Talia. But I doubt it. None of them have the build for Sofia Falcone.
