It's been a few months since we first got word that 3x Academy Award-nominated director Christopher Nolan was planning on remastering his beloved Dark Knight trillogy in glorious 4K Ultra HD, and while that was plenty exciting by itself, it looks like that wasn't all he was planning to remaster.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has officially announced that seven (yes, seven) of Nolan's most popular and critically acclaimed films, including Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, The Prestige, Inception, Interstellar, and Dunkirk, will be making their debut on 4K Ultra HD in an epic seven-film collection, the appropriately titled Christopher Nolan Collection, this December.

Each title will also be available individually for $24.99-$27.99 while the full seven-film set will retail for $149.99. Additionally, Nolan's Batman films will also receive their own special collection, The Dark Knight Trilogy 4K Collection, which will retail for $89.99 and is currently available to pre-order at Best Buy.

All seven films will go on sale December 19. Watch the announcement trailer below:

“Batman Begins”

“Batman Begins” explores the origins of the Batman legend and the Dark Knight’s emergence as a force for good in Gotham. In the wake of his parents’ murder, disillusioned industrial heir Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) travels the world seeking the means to fight injustice and turn fear against those who prey on the fearful. He returns to Gotham and unveils his alter-ego: Batman, a masked crusader who uses his strength, intellect and an array of high tech deceptions to fight the sinister forces that threaten the city.

“The Dark Knight”

The follow-up to “Batman Begins,” “The Dark Knight” reunites director Christopher Nolan and star Christian Bale, who reprises the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne in his continuing war on crime. With the help of Lt. Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham for good. The triumvirate proves effective, but soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as The Joker (Heath Ledger), who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and forces Batman closer to crossing the fine line between hero and vigilante. Maggie Gyllenhaal joins the cast as Rachel Dawes. Returning from “Batman Begins” are Oldman, Michael Caine as Alfred and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox.

“The Dark Knight Rises”

It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act. But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane. Christian Bale stars, along with Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Morgan Freeman.

No details were provided. Street date is December 19th.

“The Prestige”

From acclaimed director Christopher Nolan (Memento, Batman Begins, Insomnia) and starring a powerhouse cast including Golden Globe® Nominee Hugh Jackman (Kate and Leopold), Christian Bale (Batman Begins, American Psycho), four-time Golden Globe® Nominee Scarlett Johansson (Lost in Translation, Match Point, A Love Song for Bobby Long, Girl with a Pearl Earring) and the legendary two-time Academy Award® Winner Michael Caine (Best Supporting Actor for The Cider House Rules and Hannah and Her Sisters), “The Prestige” is the mysterious story of two magicians in Victorian-era London whose intense rivalry leads them on a life-long battle for supremacy filled with obsession, deceit and jealousy with astonishing twists and deadly consequences.

“Inception”

Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a skilled thief and coveted player when it comes to extraction: the stealing of valuable secrets from deep within the mind during a subject’s dream state. His skill, though, has turned him into an international fugitive and he is now being offered a chance at redemption. One last job. One last job to give him his life back. But only if he can pull off the impossible – inception — not stealing an idea but planting one. If Cobb and his team succeed, it will be the perfect crime. However, no amount of meticulous planning can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming.

Absolutely great trilogy, and loved Nolan's grounded take on him. I think i'm in the minority when I say, BB > TDK. Only by a sliver to me, I just love the adventure Bale takes to become Batman.

@Menks123 - I have friends that would agree with you.

For me, it depends on my mood. BB is the best superhero origin film IMO. TDK is the best (and most subversive) superhero sequel.
