Ben Affleck Finally Responds To #SadAffleck Meme And His BATMAN v SUPERMAN Experience
Ben Affleck weighs in on the Sad Affleck meme which took the internet by storm last year while also discussing what he learned from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the Batsuit he took home...
The embargo on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice reviews lifted just as the UK press tour began, and that meant pretty much everyone involved with the movie was forced to answer questions about what critics thought of it. In the case of Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, an interview with the duo went horribly wrong when a disappointed (bored?) looking Affleck ended up becoming an internet meme.
#SadAffleck soon overshadowed Batman v Superman, but during a recent interview (via Batman-News) for Live by Night, the director and actor finally weighed in on that. Asked what working on the blockbuster taught him, he responded: "It taught me not to do interviews with Henry Cavill where I don’t say anything and they can lay Simon & Garfunkel tracks over it. That’s one thing I learned."
The filmmaker then went on to explain that the movie actually gave him a greater understanding of the technology used on modern big budget movies and told a fun story about the Batsuit and Batarang he got to take home over completing work on the divisive release.
