Harry Lennix (Man of Steel) will reprise the role of General Swanwick in Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and he talks briefly here about why fans of The Dark Knight Returns will be very happy with the highly anticipated 2016 movie. Hit the jump for details!
Harry Lennix became part of comic book movie history when he took to the stage of the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con to announce Warner Bros.' plan for a movie featuring Batman AND Superman. We've learned a lot more about the movie since then of course and already know that he'll reprise the role of General Swanwick in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. In a recent interview with Moviefone, he had this to say about reprising the role and why fans should be excited. "’Batman v Superman’ ... [Laughs] Well, no. Anybody who's a fan of the '86 graphic novel "The Dark Knight Returns," I think will be well pleased by that. This is a historic event. Clearly, Zack Snyder is on the cutting edge of directing movies of this scope and scale. I think you can depend on the acting -- you've got Amy Adams, of course. You've got Henry [Cavill]. I don't think there are any surprises with regard to that. What will happen remains to be seen. I'd probably wind up in a box some place." Frank Miller's graphic novel features an epic battle, and the Comic-Con footage teased such a showdown. Exciting times! Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice arrives on March 26th, 2016.
