Harry Lennix became part of comic book movie history when he took to the stage of the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con to announce Warner Bros.' plan for a movie featuring Batman AND Superman. We've learned a lot more about the movie since then of course and already know that he'll reprise the role of General Swanwick in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. In a recent interview with Moviefone, he had this to say about reprising the role and why fans should be excited. "’Batman v Superman’ ... [Laughs] Well, no. Anybody who's a fan of the '86 graphic novel "The Dark Knight Returns," I think will be well pleased by that. This is a historic event. Clearly, Zack Snyder is on the cutting edge of directing movies of this scope and scale. I think you can depend on the acting -- you've got Amy Adams, of course. You've got Henry [Cavill]. I don't think there are any surprises with regard to that. What will happen remains to be seen. I'd probably wind up in a box some place." Frank Miller's graphic novel features an epic battle, and the Comic-Con footage teased such a showdown. Exciting times! Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice arrives on March 26th, 2016.

This movie is taking forever. Every thing this guy is makes him out to be a real dick! He's probably like that in real life.

I enjoyed TDK Returns a lot, but I hope Batman doesn't actually kick Superman's ass. We already have enough people thinking that Batman's some unstoppable god. Please Zac Snyder! Don't let Batman kick Supes ass!

@DeusExSponge - of course he will. The SDCC footage was lifted directly from the pages of TDK Returns. Thing is, in the comics Supes was weakened from a nuclear explosion. Wonder how they'll translate that to the movie. Without that it will be even more far fetched.

Snyder already said the ending will not play out the same way. Batman will not win. I can almost guarantee you that.

With no Kryptonite, no nuclear explosion and no Oliver Queen, the fight should last 1 maybe 2 seconds. Superman is essentially a god.

I'm a fan of the '86 graphic novel "The Dark Knight Returns", and I'm so very far from pleased about the direction we get to assume this is taking.

TDKR is great, but even only as part of the inspiration for the first ever big screen meeting of Superman and Batman I consider it almost completely undesirable.

Well i'm just praying that it's [frick]ing good. I hated Man Of Steel thought it was god awful tired to re-watch it. And turned it off 15 minutes in. I have faith because Goyer is not writing it's Chris Terrio so... that gives me hope.

@dcmarvel10 they shouldn't fight yet. I've always been of the opinion TDK Rises could've been translated into a 2 part movie. Get an older actor to play Bruce Wayne. Eastwood would have been perfect 15 years ago, Kurt Russell (with the proper training) would make a great old Batman. In Superman v Batman, without all the conditions I mentioned above, Superman wins, and kicks the living shit out of the Bat. In under 5 minutes. I don't care how smart Batman is or how strong his armour is, Supes is ridiculously fast and strong. And he can fly. And he has heat vision. The fight would be over before Batman was aware of Superman moving. Too fast for the human eye. But that would be anticlimactic so I bet we will have to suspend belief for 10 minutes. 15 if Snyder overuses the slow mo.
