Moving Picture Company Completes Visual Effect Work For BATMAN v SUPERMAN
According to one of the visual effect artists that worked on Batman v Superman: DOJ, the special effects for the Zack Snyder-directed film have now been completed! Plus, based on a comment, it sounds like one particular villain may not have made the cut. Come take a look!
So far, Warner Bros. have provided fans with two action-packed trailers for their highly anticipated 2016 release Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, which have adequately teased the upcoming Zack Snyder-directed feature without revealing too much about the film's plot and/or villains. Part of the reason why haven't seen a villain outside of Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor was likely because the special effects just hadn't been completed yet, but based on some new information, it looks like that's no longer the case.
In an Instagram post, Sean Ray, one of the visual artists working for the Moving Picture Company revealed to his followers that his team had finished work on the film's special effects. This doesn't necessarily mean the film has wrapped production completely as there is likely still some work left to be done before its March release, but it's almost a given that any future trailer will include a look at some of the film's more extraordinary aspects. Check out his post below:
Here's where it gets a bit more interesting...
As a follow-up, a fan jokingly asked him whether or not they worked on a 3D model for the film's rumored villain Doomsday and Ray surprisingly revealed that Doomsday wasn't in the film, or at least he didn't work on anything that related to the popular Superman villain. Check out the exchange below:
steve_w_91 What do you do in regards to the film industry? Came across this pic and now I'm curious!
ray_sean I'm a 3D character/Creature Artist at MPC
steve_w_91 Nice! So did you create the model for Doomsday?? Juuuust kidding. 😎
ray_sean Hahaha lol unfortunately he's not in the film, maybe in the man of steel squel or justice league film who knows
steve_w_91 Yeah I knew it'd be to early for him to be showing up. But that still leaves plenty of options for that "final villain"
mariela_s99 Doomsday ??!
Special Thanks to @for providing the conversation.
