Marvel's Black Panther is one of this year's most anticipated movies, and Noovie plans on giving fans more of what they want. The company announced today that a new Noovie Backlot pre-show will be released in theaters nationwide today, January 26, featuring Chadwick Bosman (T'Challa) and Letitia Wright (Shuri) providing an exclusive look at the inner workings of T'Challa's impressive suit.

Describing the suits imrpessive capabilities, Noovie teases:

There’s more than meets the eye when it comes to Black Panther’s suit. Woven with Vibranium fabric mined from the Great Mound in the high-tech kingdom of Wakanda, T’Challa’s suit makes him a tour de force. When the going gets tough, T’Challa can put some distance between himself and his enemies thanks to his suit’s Kinetic Energy Absorption.

“You punch it, you shoot it, boom! It goes off,” Boseman said of the powerful suit, which we actually got a glimpse of in a recent TV spot.

“And, the claws,” he added, “Retractable, also Vibranium. They cut through anything.”

Wright, who’s character Shuri created the suit for her brother T’Challa, agreed, “Sharp, like how you’re gonna look in the suit I made you!”

Fans wanting to catch this exclusive look at Black Panther should arrive at their local Noovie theater at least 30 mintues before showtime.

Black Panther is due out in theaters February 16th.

Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ Tracking Ahead of ‘Deadpool’ for Possible February Box Office Record

The first traditional tracking surveys for Marvel’s Black Panther were released this morning, and early indicators suggest the film could have a new February record in its sights when it debuts in three weeks. Based on our internal analysis, the 18th chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is currently trending to clear $130-135 million over opening weekend, while other third-party observers are calling for a more cautious (but still excellent) $100-120 million.

February’s reigning box office opening champ is Fox’s Deadpool, which bowed to $132.4 million over the three-day portion of President’s Day weekend two years ago (when it also had the benefit of Valentine’s Day landing on Sunday). While that film’s highly unique social media prowess remains the benchmark for origin stories in the genre, Black Panther is tracking ahead of it across the board in terms of unaided awareness, total awareness, definite interest, and first choice among surveyed audiences.

Deadpool went on to post a stellar $152.2 million over the course of its four-day holiday weekend bow, and $363 million domestically by the end of its run. The latest Marvel blockbuster-in-waiting is also set to release during the President’s Day frame.

The Kinetic Energy Absorption is visually appealing to see when it creates the explosion - but otherwise it kind of makes fighting against Black Panther redundant. Why not just stand still, let you enemy hit you a bunch of times then use the ability and repeat. The only threat to him at the moment is presumably Vibranium, which could possibly cut/damage Vibranium.

It's seems a bit overpowered for a hero who was already bullet proof and now fighting him makes him stronger - punches are kinetic energy also. If you create the hero too overpowered then it is difficult making him feel threatened or the audience feel worried about him.

Plus I'm not sure how appealing it's going to be seeing this in sequels or the Avengers films.

I really hope Marvel has something in store for Namor possibly in a Black Panther sequel. It would be awesome to see these two characters go head to head.
