Actress/Singer Nabiyah Be Will Play The Villainous Tilda Johnson/Nightshade In Marvel's BLACK PANTHER

It's been revealed that another established Marvel villain will play a role in Ryan Coogler's solo Black Panther movie, as stage actress/singer Nabiyah B will play an incarnation of Nightshade...

None of us realised at the time, but it turns out the woman next to Michael B. Jordan's Killmonger in the first Black Panther trailer is actually supposed to be Tilda Johnson, AKA Nightshade.

Actress Nabiyah Be has been cast in the role, and her sister recently confirmed her character's identity in the Tweet below.

In the comics, Nightshade (formerly Dr. Nightshade and Deadly Nightshade) is a genius-level supervillain who first debuted back in the '70s and has faced-off against the likes of Captain America, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and, of course, Black Panther over the years.

Johnson probably won't have a huge part to play in this movie, but there's always a chance the character can be expanded upon in future MCU instalments. Watch out for those werewolves, guys!

This many villains is usually worrying, but for some reason with this film, it has me so excited!

I'm sure she'll purely be a physical threat.

@BlackBeltJones - I'd say that it's because only one seems to be the main villain - Kilmonger - with Nabiyah being more of a henchman and then Man Ape and his tribe of things are there less of villains for now but more of political rivals top T'challa. That's just my assumption though so we'll see.

@MrPositive - I feel like he might just be a plot device to get Ross to wakanda. I hope not.

I have no idea who this person and so I'm not sure if I should be happy with this or not, because we all remember Rihanna in Battleship.

Hopefully she'll be a good actress, but just because you can sing doesn't mean you can act. But I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt

I always like when they use obscure comic characters as henchman.
