Some more photos from the set of the solo Black Widow have made their way online, and this time they provide a first glimpse of the Marvel Studios prequel's official logo. Check it out after the jump...

Last night, a couple of photos from the set of Black Widow seemingly confirmed the identity of Florence Pugh's (Fighting With my Family) character, and now another batch of images give us a first look at the film's official logo.

It's a very blurry shot, but the Espacio Marvelita fan-page has put together an accurate mock-up which should give us a better idea of the logo's finer details.

In addition, a video has emerged of Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh's stunt doubles shooting an action sequence on the back of a motorcycle. If Pugh is indeed playing Yelena Belova, the accompanying photos reveal one of the outfits she'll be sporting in the movie.

Check out the pics and video below, along with the recent round of Marvel Phase 4 rumors which first brought word that Pugh was playing Belova.

We know that cameras are already rolling on the solo Black Widow movie, but we may have some very interesting details on one of the supporting characters.

According to Wardell, Fighting With my Family star Florence Pugh is indeed playing Yelena Belova, who takes up the mantle of Black Widow in the comics. This would make a lot of sense, and may signify that Pugh is going to take over from Scarlett Johansson as Widow in The MCU moving forward.

Black Panther 2

It's been a while since we had any updates on Marvel's plans for the sequel to Ryan Coogler's Academy Award-nominated Black Panther, but we may now know the identity of a new character who could turn out to be the main villain.

Apparently, Black Panther 2 will feature Queen Divine Justice, whose introduction will plunge Wakanda into political upheaval.

In the comics, Ce'Athauna Asira Davin was a princess of the Jabari Tribe that was raised in America, unaware of her true heritage. She eventually returns to Wakanda and joins the Dora Milaje, but when her lineage comes to light, trouble brews between the Jabari and T'Challa's people.

Nova

A Nova movie has been rumored to be in the works for quite a while now, but Wardell reckons Marvel is finally preparing to get things moving.

No other details are provided, but the Nova Corps being decimated by Thanos (off-screen) in Avengers: Infinity War paves the way for Richard Rider's introduction as the last living member, seeking justice for his fallen family and friends.

The Future Of The Avengers

No specific details are provided on Marvel's plans for the next incarnation of Earth's Mightiest Heroes after the events of Endgame, but Wardell mentions that the studio is looking at Young Avengers, New Avengers, and Dark Avengers.

As it stands, a new team of younger heroes coming together makes the most sense, and we even have a few potential recruits in the likes of Clint Barton's daughter Lila and Morgan Stark. Still, the prospect of a Dark Avengers team is by far the most exciting.

Doctor Strange 2, Eternals, Shang-Chi, GOTG Vol. 3

All of the above are also brought up, but Wardell doesn't really add much that we didn't already know. He does confirm that production is expected to get underway on a sequel to Doctor Strange very soon, with director Scott Derrickson co-writing the film with C. Robert Cargill. He also mentions that casting for the Shang-Chi movie should get underway in the next few weeks.

@DoubleD - I don't think you're right about that otherwise technically GOTG Vol. 2 would be a Phase 2 movie as it takes place shortly after GOTG One.
Spock0Clock
Spock0Clock - 6/23/2019, 9:04 AM
@ThePott - Right. The Phases are more important to the production/planning of these movies than to their literal chronology or even their narrative structure.

@MasterMix - he said that technically Black Widow is Phase 3 as it takes place around the time of Civil War
SonOfAGif
SonOfAGif - 6/23/2019, 2:40 PM
@ThePott - The whole phase thing was for us as fans to see the slate of films released in that window.

This is why Feige calls the first 3 phases of films the "Infinity Saga". Technically if this film is a prequel set between Civil War or before it than it would still be apart of the Infinity Saga.

Spiderman Far From Home is technically the first film to be set within a new saga rumored to be the "Multiverse Saga".

Apparently Dormammu is the big bad of the multiverse saga.
ThePott
ThePott - 6/23/2019, 4:02 PM
@SonOfAGif - Disagree. The literally had an announcement at the El Capitan which they referred to as Phase 3 included GOTG 2 which by that logic would be Phase 2 as it takes place shortly after the first.

The Infinity Sage is the overall first 3 phases. Spider-Man is not technically the start of a new Saga. Feige stated while promoting Endgame that it is the end of Phase 3. Which also rules out Black Widow being part of Phase 3.

@MasterMix - I'm really hoping phase 4 takes place within the 5 years everyone was gone. Shang-Chi, or perhaps a Ronin movie with Moon Knight? How about an after effect of the snap having some supernatural properties and introduce Blade? Maybe Werewolf by Night? I just think they need to be creative. The effects of the snap had to create a new dynamic on Earth with new villians, new heroes, new motivations, It had a worldwide impact and I'm hoping they'll show us what that was like.

SonOfAGif - 6/24/2019, 12:41 AM
@ThePott - Did you read what I said before you jumped into defense position? Canonically any film set before 2023 is considered the Infinity Saga. Despite the films being released in Phases they still exist within a continuity and that continuity is called the Infinity Saga.

ThePott
ThePott - 6/24/2019, 5:30 AM
@SonOfAGif - I didn't jump into 'defense position', Did you read any of the comments that preceded this. We weren't talking about Sagas, we were talking about Phases.

The Phases don't necessarily cling to the narrative, they are production slates. I'm well aware of the Infinity Saga and that the films during that time can be considered part of the Infinity Saga regardless of Phases but this was a conversation purely about Phases, that's the comment I was correcting.

You're saying that The Infinity Saga is the first 3 Phases and then you said Spider-Man is the start of a new Saga which under that logic would mean it isn't part of the first 3 Phases. While Feige has said it is.

I'm well aware of the continuity and the narrative of the Infinity Saga, this was not a conversation about that it was about whether Black Widow is part of Phase 3 because of it's time period, which it isn't. Not to mention if the Infinity Saga is to do with the continuity and narrative as you suggest, we can't definitively say that until we know the plot of Black Widow.

Bottom line is this, we were talking Phases not Sagas. Is Black Widow part of Phase 3 because of it's rumoured setting, No. No more than GOTG 2 is Part of Phase 2. Could it be part of the Infinity Saga? Possibly but probably not, regardless that's a separate discussion.

SonOfAGif - 6/24/2019, 12:51 PM
@ThePott - Jesus. Was a documentary needed for a response? I didn't read all of it. My argument is phases are just the film slate. The Sagas are the ones where you plug in the films. Now stop crying.

ThePott
ThePott - 6/24/2019, 2:28 PM
@SonOfAGif - @SonOfAGif - Lol pretty funny that you give out to me for not reading then isn't it. I can construct an argument, I was never crying, I was correcting (someone else) and then you jumped in. You were the one that started slinging shit and trying to act smart by playing Captain Obvious.

We were talking Phases you brought up Sagas which is irrelevant. So go find attention somewhere else. Literally what you just said is what I've been saying. Go pick a fight with someone who wants to, I have no interest.

Still wish this movie already existed before Avengers Endgame. But better late than never. Hollywood is different than it was during the first few years of the MCU. There's been a renewed interest, to shine the spotlight on the female action hero. Black Widow leaving behind a legacy, is super important.

@WAKANDABATMANFOREVER - Exactly, now that fools like Perlmutter have been proven wrong on the bankability of female and minority lead films we can finally "fully" explore what the MCU can truly offer.

Wait isn't this taking place in the past how can Yelena take over in the MCU going forward? Is she gonna have super serum that keeps her young?
MarkCassidy
MarkCassidy - 6/23/2019, 7:10 AM
@Chaos200 - My guess is some of it will be set in the modern MCU before the events of Endgame, and that's when she'll be introduced.
Spock0Clock
Spock0Clock - 6/23/2019, 7:13 AM
@Chaos200 - Pugh is in her early-20's. She'll probably play mid-to-late-teens in Black Widow (set in ~2005?), and assuming she got snapped, if she shows up in the "modern MCU" of 2025, maybe she's playing mid-to-late-thirties by the time she's in her late-20's. Seems reasonable enough as long as they don't stretch it much further.

There are other possibilities, of course, like Infinity Serums or cryogenic stasis (which we know Hydra / Russians used).
Spock0Clock
Spock0Clock - 6/23/2019, 7:15 AM
I [frick]ed the math there. She'd be early-to-mid-thirties because of the five-years lost to the snap.

(That's all assuming it is pre-Iron Man in continuity. As Ror said, it could easily be later.)
Spock0Clock
Spock0Clock - 6/23/2019, 7:21 AM
As much as the MCU timeline is 97% consistent... it's still a pretty gnarly mess when you try to keep it all straight in your head.

@WeaponXCII - I hope if they do a sequel it takes place during the 5 year gap between Infinity War and Endgame with Widow traveling to Russia to assassinate Aleksander Lukin who survived the snap and is kidnapping orphaned children from the snap to kickstart a new Black Widow program and Natasha sets out on a mission to eliminate the Red Room and the Black Widow program for good.
