You may remember Mathew Vaughn was said to be directing a Bloodshot movie some time ago, but it turns out he had passed before the rumor even broke. All has been quiet since, but now Sony will be seeking out another director to take the reigns.

From Deadline..

Sony Pictures has closed a deal to acquire Bloodshot, the Valiant Comics series. The deal was $450,000 against $1 million, i hear, and Jeff Wadlow will write the script. Neal Moritz will produce through his Original Film Banner along with Jason Kothari and Dinesh Shamdasani for Valiant Entertainment.

Bloodshot tells the story of Angelo Mortalli, a ruthless Mob killer who has his memory erased and his blood infused with microscopic computers called nanites. These allow him to - heal quickly, dominate electronic devices, and fully control every aspect of his body to maximize his physical capabilities. He then sets out to eliminate everyone involved in his transformation, while trying to piece together his past. Yeah I'm thinking "Franken-Castle" too, but remember this predates him! So any Bloodshot fans here? Thoughts on cast/director etc?
