Will Smith will be Captain America in a Barak Obama Administration

According to contactmusic.com, the movie based on the patriotic comic book hero will be made by 2011 and actor Matthew McConaughey is being linked with the role--although he claims to be clueless. But Lee has hinted that the lead could go to Smith if Obama becomes the first black president.

Lee said: “I would love us to do something with Will Smith. It would be a real leap to make Captain America black…then again, I don’t know. It might be a really smart thing. If Barack Obama becomes president, who knows… suddenly a lot of our characters will be black.”

they better not cast Will Smith as cap. That would be like casting a white guy as Black Panther. I wouldnt even be able to go see the movie.

I cant see it being a problem. No harm in changing it, Will Smith is your all american hero aint he? I think he'd make a pretty cool Cap!

I don't have a problem with changing the race of some of the heroes, but Cap has too much history. Back in the 40s (before the rights movements) when he was given his powers a black man would not have been chosen to wear the flag.

I could see Smith as Isaiah or Elijah Bradley in a cameo or sequel or something.

lol... i would like to think that Stan Lee is a little smarter then that. He didnt give profersor X hair, Cyclops still had to wear his glasses, Peter parkers uncle still dies... But on the other hand he did make Jugernaught a mutant... This could become a cold day in hell... lol

Does this mean the costume will change too?
A Red, Black, and Blue costume?...
Gimme a break, if Cap is black I wont see this movie. It just wouldn't make sense at all...
