That's a cool picture of Chris Evans as Captain America. (I know we've seen it before, but it's still awesome) :) Great stuff DCMF!

I'm actually not crazy about that pic of Evans. The more you look at his face the more he looks like he's sulking because his mom told him to go to his room.

Comic, meh. Didn't like the first one near enough to pay for the second.

@Aguaman

yep, just you. i think it's a brilliant hybrid of superhero and military authentic. been watching "The Pacific" and yep, that is very much how uniforms of the time appear.

@Aguaman - Why do super heros where capes when there
capes can get caught on things all the time? Why do they
where tights that would look so silly if they were just
walking down the street in them? How does iron man take
a crap in that suit? Wait...you already answered these
question - it's a comic book movie. Cap Amer just
wouldnt be Cap in a Camouflage army suit. Flex that
imagination a bit buddy & just go with it. I do agree w/
you somewhat about the suit. Something about that suit
just doesnt feel 100%. I'm sure it will upgrade in the
Avengers movie.

why does aquamam where tights hes a goddamn superhero and not a good one at it

@aquaman- i with you on hating the costume but i think thats for very different reasons. i want more super hero and less military.

about cap wearing bright colors into combat: maybe roosevelt wants hitler to know EXACTLY whats coming for him. i mean seriously its not like cap is gonna die, its his own movie.

The only thing he looks ready to smash in that pic are his toys. I like all the other pics though. And the tv spot. But not as much as the First Class one:)

@Agua what's he gonna do summon a fish to dry hump caps leg I forgot your fish don't work on land then this should be a easy win for cap XD

cool pic of evens but is till think the helmet is a bit awkward... and the straps on the top aren't the best... but oh well... like i have said before the suit is great 4 first avenger but for the avengers he needs an update!

I do like the custome, it's not the classic one but it's a nice updated version of it, more proper for the 2000's and not like the 80's

superpooper - 2/25/2011, 1:52 AM
@PoPcornDude Yeah, but it's in the 40's...? I'm sorry, I don't agree that this "costume" is proper for 2000's. To me he just doesn't look like a super hero. The more realistic they try to make this film, the more you have to ask yourself could this dude really survive against hundreds of dudes with machine guns and rocket launchers? I don't care if your "the pinnacle of human perfection". Not enough. If you want to tell a fantastic story then make it look fantastic. Cap should look and act like he's decades ahead of his time just to make you think that he can take on an army with just his sheild and survive. From the looks of the tv spot he's barely a match for WWII level weapons, let alone 21st century military tech. I'm not saying make him look like Iron Man or something, but at least put some WOW factor in there. I didn't see that in the TV spot.

Cap needs to look like hes a War Hero with a hint of Superhero. Cap isn't flying and flash. He is real and in battle. He needs to look prepared. This costume make him look that way.
