Joe Johnston confirmed that The Invaders will be in the second half of Captain America:First Avenger, he also confirmed that nine costumed characters will be in the Star Spangled Patriots film.

There are the 3 confirmed characters:

Captain America-Chris Evans



Bucky-Sebastian Stan


Union Jack-JJ Fields


The 2 rumored characters
Namor-David Boreanaz???


Golden Girl-Amy Smart(rumored)


Then we have 4 unknown characters my personal picks for the last ones are

Toro-???


Spitfire-???


Silver Scorpion-???

i can't see them using Original Human Torch. I just can't see it. If they can even do it legally, it would weaken this movie in people's minds because they'll think its the same guy from Fantastic Four. The general audience doesn't know the difference.

I think Deadpool72's list is correct, except I think Baron Zemo will be #3 or #7 (don't know if Fury will wear a costume of a uniform), and #9 will be the original human torch, but they will call him Toro to avoid the confusion.

but Humant Torch and Toro are two different characters, so that wouldn't really stop any confusion.

i personally think they are not going to have the human torch there cause it can get the audience confuse with the fantastic four reboot.

it won't be confusing if they explain his an android & it would be another plotline that could lead into the avengers 2 with ultron,vision & wonderman.

Corndogburglar - I know they are 2 different characters, but most people do not even know who either one of them is (except hard core fans). The confusion will be avoided by not reusing the name from Fantastic Four. Use the origin for the Original Human Torch, and name him Toro to avoid using the same same from FF. Mix the 2 characters like they did with Whiplash and Crimson Dynamo in IM2

I know, and you all know, that the Human Torch is actually 2 (or more) separate characters, but when Marvel licensed "the Human Torch" to Fox for the FF films, does that include all iterations of that name? It's a worthwhile question to ask here. I mean we don't even know if they legally CAN use that name without having to pay for the rights back.

How do we know that they aren't including IM and Thor, since it is supposed to have bookends.

maybe a few villains it say's costumed characters. namor would be really cool to see. then maybe his solo film, and the inhumans solo film.

That is a good choice of characters but Scorpion for the unknown four . . . I think Destroyer is better suited there in place of Scorpion.

I think they are gonna get as many of the old characters from the past as possible into this film simply as this is the only chance they will get to use them.

Seeing as this films leads into The Avengers (and a contemporary time) this will be the only chance we will get to see all these 1940's costumed heros/villains.
