Look at the first Sean Gordon Murphy tweet with the three watches side by side the first one said 1% of people will see the hourglass. I didn't see Mark Millar's post that said 1/15 have the eye condition. My fault for not reading all the article and assuming that was the correct percentage but that is where I got it from.

If you're interested 6.66% of the population might be able to see it. Most of these will be male since color perception is a sex-linked trait. Less that half a percent of women (probably way less since this is an uncommon class of color blindness) will see anything but a watch face.
