Marvel's most recent Astonishing X-Men comic released this week, and the first issue wasted no time in dropping a major revelation. The new team, consisting of Old Man Logan, Fantomex, Beast, Rogue, Bishop, and Gambit band together against a massive threat: an unknown force is assaulting and murdering the world's psychics. X-Men member Psylocke gathers the new team to stop her from attacking London while under the influence of the attacker, and reveals the culprit as Amahl Farouk, The Shadow King

In order to stop Farouk from attacking even more powerful minds (such as Emma Frost or the young Jean Grey), Psylocke sends the team to the Astral Plane to confront him. The scene then cuts to Farouk, who gloats to....Charles Xavier, alive within the Astral Plane. Xavier has been thought dead since he was seemingly killed by a Phoenix-possessed Cyclops in 2012's Avengers Vs. X-Men crossover. How he factors into Farouk's plan remains to be seen, but this is certainly a major development for the X-Men universe.

Are you happy to see Xavier alive, or do you think Marvel should have kept him dead? Let us know your thoughts down below!
