Next month, the History Channel is airing MANKIND: THE STORY OF ALL OF US, a twelve hour epic covering the entire history of the human race. Episode subjects include the ice age, the advent of farming, the sacking of Rome, the discovery of the New World, the fall of the Aztec empire, the Industrial Revolution and more.

In addition, in a first for the History Channel, they have teamed up with Zenescope Comics to craft a companion graphic novel to the series. The book will come in two volumes, and be available early next month for purchase.
The talent gathered thus far to work on the project is pretty impressive. Marv Wolfman, Nathan Edmondson, Dennis Calero, Giovanni Timpano, and Bill Sienkiewicz have all contributed to the comic, and at least one Neal Adams cover is coming later as well.

Below you can see some cover art for volumes 1 and 2.

cheers for the article ABERRATION. somehow I doubt it'll be a true and authentic representation of human history though... you know the one which flys in the face of western presuppositions everyday that is hushed or silenced for fear of upsetting the statuesque.. the one with ooparts n all :-)
