The author is planning to release a comic book sequel to his 1996 novel next year. Fight Club 2 will be a 10-issue Dark Horse Comics maxiseries illustrated by Cameron Stewart.

Could we see this adapted for the big screen too? Could Fincher, Pitt and Norton return? Anything's possible, but we're getting ahead of ourselves -- for now we have the new comic series to look forward to in May, 2015.

"Fight Club 2 takes place alternately in the future and the past. It picks up a decade after the ending of his original book, where the protagonist is married to equally problematic Marla Singer and has a 9 year-old son named Junior, though the narrator is failing his son in the same way his dad failed him."

Palahniuk also promises the return of Tyler Durden (Bradd Pitt's "character" in the movei version) and the organization known as Project Mayhem. More at the link below.

I loved the book and the movie so much, but I am cautiously optimistic about this sequel.

if fight club was a comic then this would be welcome. but fight club was a movie so this can burn in hell.

I don't really know why there needs to be a sequel, I thought the ending to the book was fine. But, if people will buy it and Chuck will make money, more power to him.

Choke (book not movie) was just as amazing.

I like the idea, but I feel like it is unnecessary. Why spoil a good thing, right?

I loved the ending to the book. It felt complete in a very "fight Club" kind of way. I am a fan of nearly all of Palahniuk's work, but this needs to be left alone.

Tyler would not approve.

as a reader of his books I say this...

haunted was the better novel and is more deserving of a sequel as it offered no closure and didn't wrap up the story

Why the hell not? The actual author of original material is writing it.
Even if it turns out not as good..so fvcking what? The first book / movie stands on its own.
I never understand fools who think sequels or reboots affect the original stuff, guess what?...IT DOES NOT.

Palahniuk is either completely demented, or a genius

They cannot bring Tyler back though. That would seriously be sacrilege.

My first thought was "err, wut?", but yeah.. like Ror said, it's the same dude, so there must be something he has left to say.

Great f*ckin' book.

Maybe I should switch back to the Tyler Durden avi I had two years back.

I know its unpopular opinion but this film is horrid. He needs to get rid of his alternate personality so he shoots himself in the cheek? Talk about lazy writing.

Wow. I've been here two years already. I realised what I just said.

Lame. Movie was was meh at best, horrendous at worst. No need for a sequel because the entire story was told. Don't care about seeing this when it comes out.
