Our first teaser was found on "Tumblr" by Comic Book Resources, and is according to artist Cliff Chiang, "an early promo image we cooked up to visualize our take on Wonder Woman. The original version has pants!" The upcoming series (set to go on sale later this month) will be written by Brian Azzarello, and promises a fresh new take on the iconic character. Below that, we have another teaser from Marvel for the current Amazing Spider-Man event, "Spider-Island". Looks like things are set to get even weirder for poor 'ol Peter Parker...

And here's a ridiculously random question for you...

I was watching Lynda Carter´s "Wonder Woman" on DVD, the first season in its entirely with my wife.
She loves her, as she is a good portrait of a strong and elegante and feminine woman to look up to.
It´s cheesy and innocent and fun to watch while having tea and cookies. Lynda Carter will be forever the Wonder Woman in our minds.

My wife also liked George Perez run on "Wonder Woman", she read the TP, as she loved greek mythology. Her portrait in "Justice League Unlimited" was also great. Guess Wonder Woman needs to be her own girl.

Not a mix of Xena meets Jason Voorhees.

spidey has fought the likes of hercules, hulk, firelord & juggernaunt so wonder woman wouldn't be that great a threat.

BTW i thing spiderman vs. wonder woman isn't a bad match up. a lot of the time people underestimate spidy's strength. he can lift a car. not as strong as WW, but still pretty damn strong. plus her bracelets aren't going to stop webbing.

I'm not getting into Spider Island at all. I've read it all so far and just seems boring. I've also read most of the new 52 and some of its pretty good. I'll wait til i read Wonder Woman before deciding on anything. Det. Comics is superb by the way.

@symponywaffle- That took place in the 70's. WW was re-booted in the 80's, and powered UP.

Okay. I don't know what the New 52 Wonder Woman is all about yet, but going by the WW of the last 20 years, there is NO contest. Diana has the speed of Hermes and the wisdom of Athena, both of whom are GODS. Spiderman's "spider speed" and human brain just don't measure up. Not to mention she could kill him with a single punch. Although I'm totally against the New 52, I will give WW a chance. I just hope it's good.
