THE CONJURING Director Talks About The Possibility Of Helming A DC Film

Given his rise to prominence with films such as Saw, The Conjuring, and more recently, Fast & Furious 7, would talented director James Wan be up for helming a DC Comics movie? Hit to jump to find out!

While promoting his upcoming movie, Fast and Furious 7, with Collider, director James Wan was asked whether or not he would be up for helming a DC Comics film for Warner Bros Studio. Not being unfamiliar with some darker themes in his films, Wan would seem like an excellent candidate to tackle a Batman solo movie, wouldn't you say? The interviewer pointed out that the studio likes taking care of it's filmakers, and thus, what were the possibilities of keeping Wan on board for a superhero movie? "Yeah it's weird. Continuing that family tradition, [Warner Bros. is] like that and it's almost like they're very old school in that respect, which you don't see much of anymore." When asked if there was a specific DC property that Wan would be interesting in, his response was: "Yeah, there are some that I like... I am open to all possibilities at this point."

What do you guys think? Would James Wan be suitable for adapting one of DC's comic book characters?

Has more experience than the Russos who made You, me, and Dupree and Community episodes before that. But that logic theyre definitely "scraping the barrel". Try harder, troll

Wan's the shit, as an avid horror movie fan, I loved The Conjuring.. Don't know why, but I'd like him to tackle Shazam. If not, some property at Marvel.

His last three movies, "Insidious", "The Conjuring" and "Furious 7" were all really well received by the media so I say why the hell not?

@oNosferatuZodd

You're a sad little turd.

Guillermo Del Toro for Justice League Dark.
For Wan, New 52 version of JLA will fit his style. Imagine, there is a scene in Suicide Squad where Waller try to form another JL team. Mindblowing!

He's made some rather well received movies, and will likely have a maaajor hit this year with Fast 7. If they find the right property I don't see why he wouldn't be considered for a superhero movie.

His best work is stuff with supernatural stuff (mostly horror movies) and such, so why not give him the chance of doing Aquaman with an adaption of The Trench, let him do Justice League Dark with Guliermo producing since Guliermo does not have the time to direct everything all the time, or he could work with a Shazzam movie.

Either Shazam or Flash.
The Batman solo movie should be directed by Ben Affleck.
