The Merc with a Mouth will be starting over with a new #1 this November from writers Brian Posehn and Gerry Duggan. Thanks to MTV Geek, we have a first look at pencils from the issue by artist Tony Moore (best known for his work on The Walking Dead and Venom). When the series first announced, Duggan had this to say. "I would say, though, if you're a fan of a mentally diminished Deadpool, your hopes will be met and your expectations rewarded. I think we wanted with the first issue to make a new Deadpool comic that a Deadpool fan will really enjoy and want to come back for the second issue. The other side there, though, is that we know this is a new #1 by guys that haven't done Deadpool yet, and we're hoping to pick up new fans who will buy the first issue and say, "Oh, this is what Deadpool is? I'm sticking around." I think that's a balancing act that we did a pretty good job of. I think we made a fun comic that any Deadpool fan will recognize as a new chapter in Deadpool's publishing history." Be sure to click on the link below for an interview with Deadpool editor Jordan D. White.

No idea whats going on but sweet! Tony Moore is perfect for Deadpool. Loved him on Ghost Rider and Venom. And I see Wade gets his heeling factor back.

Looks like Cap is back on the 'roids again. Kind of a nostalgic look back at the Frank Robbins run, yes?

This also looks early in the comic, since he does not have his new costume. ...love the walking dead art so this will be great as well

YES. This is gonna be great. I'm actually looking forward to Marvel NOW, as long they don't double-ship as much as they have for the past couple years.

Meh. Does anyone out there miss the Madureira era Deadpool. Seemed more nihilistic, less slapstick. We see more that tone in Uncanny X-Force, this is going completely over the top. The art is good, I can't draw... but I'm really not into the kiddie feel/tone of the Deadpool books anymore.

Great comic book art by Moore...Rob Liefeld needs to take lessons on how to draw from this guy.

No wait,Liefield needs to just stop drawing period. It's not like his god awful scratchings could be considered art anyways.

Glad to see a top notch artist like Moore doing some Deadpool stuff.

That is a Bruce Campbell jaw that Captain America is rocking there. He doesn't need a shield with that sucker. And I love the OH NOOOOOO mouth look on Deadpool during the explosion, that is fantastic.

Not a huge fan of Tony Moore, his work just doesn't seem to fit Venom to me. As for Deadpool, over-the-top badass is right up his alley. This looks like a winner.
