I loved Francavilla's art in Black Panther, really fit the noir tone it was going for.

If you don't the look of this particular issue, its only an Infinity tie-in so you could probably just skip it. I'll be into it though.

It's a pretty drastic change from the previous issues. It could work depending on the tone of the story but I'm not 100% sold on it.

I'm still waiting on them to address how Thanos and Quill made it back from the collapsing Cancerverse AND how Drax came back from the dead.

I worry is in their entire conversation Gamora says how Drax and Star-Lord stayed behind to stop Thanos ,even though Drax got killed by Thanos about 3-4 issues in, but not a word about Richard Ryder the real Nova. I really hope they haven't just forgotten about him they need to bring him back and kick the stupid Sam kid out.

what happened to Richard Rider, dammit! The end of the Thanos Imperative was one of the most heart-wrenching things I've ever read, and Bendis has retconned it. Better be for a DAMN good reason.

For anyone who cares I might not be around for a long time. I have a personal situation that I have to handle for the foreseeable future. I have gone by the names Hush2010 and 2Challa. Peace out to all I’ve had a great relationship with.

Okay so this book has gotten confusing. In issue 6 Quill is confronting Thanos and all we see is them about to attack one another, then Quill just pops up in the Angela fight with no mention to those events whatsoever.

A ginormous universe wide event is going on in Infinity and the the two titles that are supposed to be "Marvel cosmic" have little or nothing to do with it. How does that make sense? The Guardians are now protecting Earth, and Thanos has invaded the Earth. I could maybe give this one a pass cause we don't know where 6 & 7 take place in relation to Infinity. Regardless, the absence of Marvel's cosmic heroes from a Marvel cosmic event is a crime.

It seems like they're getting around to the Cancerverse business, and yet no mention of Richard Rider.

Why do yall ppl keep asking about Rich?... He's gone at the moment. Deal with it. He ain't here. And you definitely shouldn't be looking for him in this book. Lookout for word of him in the "Nova" book.

I liked McGuiness'sand Pichelli's work. Very detailed, very refined and consistent. Francavelli's art is rougher and more off-the-cuff, which gives the book an EC Comics horror book feel. If they're going for an unsettling look to match the story, that's great, I guess, but I admit it will take some getting used to in the long term.

Then again, GOTG has switched artists a couple of times already in its short life, so no worries here.

@beane2099

The events of GotG so far are several issues behind the events of Infinity. Tony Stark is already back on Earth as of June's New Avengers #7 -- they're up to #11 now.

I think the upcoming GotG will either show Stark returning to Earth or jump ahead to the "present" Infinity story (I didn't read the excerpts above).

I bought the first TPB collection of this and wasn't very impressed at all. Wasn't planning on carrying on but I really like the art here, might give it one more shot.

The art is more appropriate for some noire detective graphic novel, not a swashbuckling space adventure group. WTF.
Crawler

It's not that the art sucks. It's just a stark contrast to Sara Picheli's art. I think it's better suited to a Daredevil or Punisher book.

Anything to keep him off Hawkeye. That book should be Aja's exclusively. And if I have to wait bi-monthly instead of monthly that's fine.

It's very much a Star Wars Dark Empire feel to me...I like it but at the same time I prefer more of a modern slick/very detailed art to sci-fi style stories...
