Don't Worry for Spider-man 4

Don't Worry for Spider-man 4

...tweets STAN "THE MAN" LEE

By the way, I wantcha to stop worrying about Spider-Man 4. The guys at Marvel and Sony care as much as we do-- and that's a lot of caring!

A lot of thought and talent are being expended to make Spidey 4 the best yet. Your Generalissimo says you'll be very pleasantly surprised!

I expect great things from director Marc Webb. He's smart and original and daring, and he understands the web-slinger-- almost as much as I

-And after me saying all those nice things, if I don't get at least a three-line cameo, they'll be contending with one angry Generalisimo!

What really makes me think is that he keeps on referring to it as SPIDER-MAN 4. I'm pretty sure he knows by now about the news of the reboot. So, why the talk of Spider-man 4. Maybe the next movie won't really be a reboot, maybe it would still be a continuation of the previous series, just with a new set of casts and crew.

Am I reading it wrong? I myself would like a continuation, I know that Spidey 3 was not well received. But a reboot is sort of a cop out for me, write a good story without disregarding the one before. They do that all the time in comics, why not in our CBMs.?

I think he realizes that it's not going to be connect to the others, but since it's the fourth Spider-man movie, I guess he finds it simple to refer to it as Spider-man 4.

I'm pretty sure he is refering to the reboot as Spider-Man 4.

What Stan means is that recently, there were three films back to back. Soon, there will be a new Spidey film. It IS a reboot but it will be the fourth Spidey film to have been made in recent years. It's really not hard y'all.

It's like you could call Batman Begins, Batman 8 or however many had been made up to that point.

this guy is the ultimate positive spin specialist.
i respect him because he gave us so many characters to love with the help of some noteworthy artists, Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko being the most prominent.

but he has said that every Marvel would be awesome and from his perspective it is. he gets to see almost fifty years of hard work celebrated on the big screen.

but he needs to see it from the POV of the fans. our expectations are high because we know most CBM's can be done right.
it's just that certain parties that will remain unnamed cough (The Studios!!!!!) cough, are interested in pumping out as many as possible within the quickest time possible.

Stan, you have my respect. But it's okay to refer to the studios as money grubbing lobbyists if you want to...

just saying.

lol, I don't know if anyone here saw this but Stan Lee a few years ago was at a Video Game or Comic expo, I can't remember exactly and he was there promoting Spider-Man: Friend or Foe and he didn't even know what the game was called lol

I'm gonna have to agree with Logan and VIKEME on this one.
Stan's mind is becoming more and more fragile with age. I think he's losing it. It's probably all for the best though. Soon he'll be swinging through New York with Spider-Man while fighting Galactus and saving the Fantastic Four from Batman's smiling utility belt while back in reality he's drooling on himself as he wide-eyed stairs at the ceiling without blinking. Stan is fading away, and has already begun to ascend to Marvel Heaven.... 'nuff said

Maybe this really is Spider Man 4 and they're calling it a reboot to throw us all off. They've said they're taking Peter back to highschool and if my memory serves me correctly, in the comics, didn't Peter become a highschool science teacher? If that's the case then a grittier movie makes sense especially if there is any truth to the rumors of Kraven being the villian. Throw in Lizard and that'd be a pretty brutal movie.

Then again, maybe I'm just reading into things.

i know it's a reboot but if it isn't i'm gonna sue Marvel for the money to buy back my Spidey merchandise!

Wasn't Raimi also rumored to understand Spidey so well? Anyways I hope it's good, I still like Spider-man 2 and Spider-man is on tv today so I might give that a watch
