Guardians Of The Galaxy In "Active Development" At Marvel!

Already rumored to be on Marvel's to do list by Kevin Feige, Twitch now report that just like Dr Strange, things are moving forward with the team of cosmic adventurers..

We had heard reports that Marvel were going to start looking to some lesser known characters after the Avengers and eventually "go cosmic". Well it seems that may be happening sooner rather than later.



Twitch seem to have a good line on what's going down at Marvel having already reported on plans to move forward with Dr Strange. Now according to them..

..Sources tell Twitch the film version is now in active development. Expect the on-screen Marvel universe to get a bit bigger soon.


The comic team have had two incarnations, the originals the '60s and then a relaunch in 2008. The new team featured characters such as Adam Warlock, Nova and Starhawk and they regularly battled the likes of The Skrulls and Thanos. If these villains are a part of The Avengers as is rumored, it would be a great way to tie the movies together. Kevin Feige already brought up the idea for a Guardians movie last year but nothing was ever official. If Dr Strange is indeed coming to us in 2013 along with Iron Man 3 and Ant-Man, could Guardians be part of Marvel's 2014 slate? More info as we have it.

If they make this on the big screen, then I'd prefer it if they just gave Rocket Raccoon a cameo. Any shred of decency this movie had would go out the window if they bright in Rocket Raccoon as a major character.

Beta Ray Bill is not in the Guardians of the Galaxy.

After they dismantled he became a part of the Annihilators, which is Beta Ray Bill, Silver Surfer, Ronan the Accuser, Quasar, and Gladiator.

yeah, pretty much the most powerful team ever created.

That would be awesome, I don't anything about the Guardians but the cosmic side of the MCU is exciting.

I think everything depends of The Avengers,if MARVEL can pull that off succesfully (which I believe they will,so far so good MARVEL and its CU),they could do whatever the hell they want after that,see Dr Strange,Guardians,Ant-man,Black Panther,etc.

Wow... that is ambitious but if done right and somewhat believable, could be a modern day Star Wars. Was not really into the comics much but this gets me pretty damn excited.

Marvel dropped the ball when they discontinued 'Guardains of the Galaxy', and they know it from all the fan mail exclaiming the return of these characters collectively as a team(including mine).The series was making money-I don't get it.I miss Cosmo comardes!

It would take guts to do a Guardians of the Galaxy film after Green Lantern flopped.

Of course, if the could do it successfully, it would really rub it in WB's faces.
