While browsing through my twitter feed, I came across an image retweeted by Elmayimbe, so I can't guarantee if it's real or not. The image appears to be a list of Marvel's Phase Three Films. The movies listed are Ant-Man, Guardians of The Galaxy: War of Kings, The Indestructible Hulk, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Captain America: The Fallen Son, Thor: Ragnarök, and The Defenders! So if The Avengers 3 still has a 2018 release date, then Marvel may very well start releasing up to 4 films a year!

Also, the schmoes already broke a story earlier this year confirming which are the phase 3 films: Antman, Dr strange, thor3, cap3, avengers 3.

-GOTG is a one time movie (until its release - if it does well)
-defenders is not happening yet, Hulk is too difficult to do well solo (so far)
-Black panther was running against dr strange for the phase 3 spot and they decided to go for dr strange.
-the fallen son? seems like a fanboy fantasy given it alludes to buck barnes taking over the mantle
-ragnarok? seems again like a fanboy fantasy.

You might have been able to sell me on this but the only problem I have is a GOTG sequel being green lit months before the original one is released. These all look cool. But they're fake.

As far as anything or any piece of news out there, marvel is sticking to releasing 2 films a year. increasing it to 3 films a year is not something that is happening yet.
I seriously doubt marvel wants to push more than 2 unknown properties out there in phase 3. They already have ant man and dr strange. the more unknow movies there are, the more the probability of losing money if they dont do well. thats why they put thor and cap3 in the phase 3 mix: because they are a SURE money makers.

They have already confirmed Defenders as a TV show...

But this would be incredible list of films...and leave Evans to do Avengers 3 in Phase 4 before his break

@remember i agree, but marvel is testing waters...Thor in November and Cap in April...both 600m+ blockbusters...leaving early August, GoTG this year, PERFECT placement for film 3....

And going to 3 a year really changes what they can do with more heroes. They want to keep Cap, Thor, Iron Man(maybe) and Hulk in the loop....So go to Three and you get tons of room for GoTG, DrStrange and Black Panther...also, 3 a year would allow for a year of "avengers" thor-cap-hulk and then follow up the next april with Avengers 3....so inside of 13 months you would have a 4 movie arc...Massive storytelling flexibility.
