KIMOTA! With one magic word, a long-forgotten legend lives again! Freelance reporter Michael Moran always knew he was meant for something more-now, an unexpected series of events leads him to reclaim his destiny as Miracleman! The groundbreaking graphic novel that heralded a literary revolution begins here in A DREAM OF FLYING. After nearly two decades away, Miracleman uncovers his origins and their connection to the British military's "Project Zarathustra" - while his alter ego, Michael Moran, must reconcile his life as the lesser half of a god. Available digitally and in print wherever comics and books are sold.
Miracleman has been a high profile project for Marvel, not only due to the characters importance (being credited as being one the first attempts at grounding comic book superheroes) but also due to decades of legal battles to determine the ownership of the character.
In the last couple of months Marvel’s commitment to try an elevate the profile of the character has been pretty evident as it was reported by Bleedingcool that not only a trailer promoting the re-release was seen over memorial day weekend in selected theaters but also an ad was purchased in the new York times (image seen on the right.)
This move has also created speculation that Marvel is trying to expose general audiences to Miracleman due to plans to include the character within their cinematic universe. This is unfounded of course, but perhaps the "twins" (Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch) will be referred to as “Miracles” in Avengers: Age of Ultron for a reason.
Miracleman Book One: A Dream Of Flying is now available in print and digital wherever books are sold.
