Exciting news for Wolverine today as it's been confirmed that the curtain is going to be pulled back on Wolverine's mysterious return in April's The Hunt for Wolverine #1 from the creative team of Charles Soule (Death of Wolverine) and David Marquez (Civil War II). According to Marvel, the answers all begin here...but so do the questions! This mystery will widen and deepen unlike any other mystery in the Marvel Universe, and fans won’t ultimately know which way to turn or where the truth really lies.

"Steve McNiven and I took on the incredible task of killing Wolverine back in 2014--it was one of my earliest projects at Marvel, and such a huge opportunity," Soule explains. "There's really only one project that could top it--being part of the story that brings Logan back! The Hunt for Wolverine is just the opening chapters of a mystery that will reach all sorts of cool hidden corners of the Marvel Universe, and will tell a story that will hopefully have us looking at Logan in an entirely new way."

"I'm really looking forward to seeing how fans start to put the pieces together. There's a big payoff coming down the road, and all the interlocking parts of The Hunt for Wolverine build to it. The more you read, the more clues you get. It's really fun--especially since I have a bit of a reputation in X-continuity for knocking off beloved mutants. It's nice to be part of bringing someone back!"

The series is reportedly just the start of an epic story that will impact Marvel heroes and X-Men alike and it culminates this summer in one of the most shocking, daring stories of Wolverine’s history! The journey and the mystery
begins here, and you’re not going to want to miss your chance to take part in Wolverine’s return. Are you guys excited? Be sure to let us know your thoughts down below.

I'm conflicted about this because of the writer...
Hated his Death of Wolverine, Death of X, IvX, pretty much everything he wrote for Marvel.
But now i'm actually enjoying his Astonishing X-Men...and Poe Dameron, yeah.
He's mostly "good" on the SW books.

@Doomsday8888 - They did that because they didnt have the X-men and wanted to start changing all the characters. Welll now it's ;like none of that happen and im glad for it, but Id like to see them make a new definitive era of xmen, and that includes wolverine.

Hopefully marvel realizes, fans want quality, not specticle.

Maybe I'm missing something because I haven't been reading Marvel for a while, but this seems stupid.

1. They are titling it "The Hunt fo Wolverine", insinuating that they can't find him, even though he's back and is actively looking for them.

2. Why is Wolverine having a hard time finding The Avengers?

@CorndogBurglar - "Why is Wolverine having a hard time finding The Avengers?"

Because he's using his sense of smell to track them instead of a phone, and because Tony keeps changing Avengers HQ every time it gets wrecked. So Logan goes east coast, tastes the air a bit, realizes the Avengers are in LA now, walks the whole way or goes on bike, because he's Wolverine, and when he gets there, the Avengers are back in NY.

Why does every character return have to be a mystery? Can't we just bring them back and move on with it. The reveal usually isn't even good.

The thing I want most in bringing the x-men to the MCU is a badass cyclops. He has been crapped on in the movies.

Has any character that has died in the Marvel comics ever stayed dead or have they all been revived somehow?

@bcom - I believe Uncle Ben is the only one to have never been resurrected.

But thats only because he serves a much bigger purpose being dead than alive.

I could be wrong, but I don't think he's ever been resurrected.

And of course we aren't talking about characters that died that had such little appeal that no one cared if they returned.

I believe Stilt Man is still dead. Sentry hasn't come back......yet.
