Joan Lee, the wife of Marvel Comics icon Stan Lee died on Thursday.  These past few days have seen an outpouring of support for Stan but perhaps there's no more fitting tribute than Marvel's, which has Stan himself describing just how important Joan was to his career. Marvel had planned to release the below video as part of an event scheduled for later this year but rightfully decided that now would be a more appropriate time.

"On April 14, 2017 Joe Quesada, Marvel’s Chief Creative Officer, sat down with Stan Lee at the Paley Center in Beverly Hills, Calif. The video below was originally planned to be part of a series from the event scheduled for release later this year. In remembrance of Joan Lee and her importance to Marvel and the history of comics as a whole, we felt it appropriate to release this now."

Joan Lee voiced Madame Web in the '90s animated Spider-Man series.

Hopefully Stan does not go due to a broken heart......when you have been with someone that long it is really hard on you when they leave emotionally, physically, and mentally.

D.C. also delivered a very nice tribute. It's good to see the community come together. Even if it's due to tragic circumstances

They got married less than a month after my dad was born. That's just... wow! I genuinely can't imagine how it must feel to be with someone for so long, and then that someone suddenly isn't there anymore.

I hope he can find strength in his family, and maybe a bit in the support and sympathies from fans worldwide!
