According to the Santa Fe New Mexican Jon Favreau will begin shooting on Cowboys and Aliens in New Mexico. The exact location has not been revealed yet. Casting is said to be looking for bearded men as well as Native American riders, children and women.

The movie, based off the 2006 graphic novel, tells the story of how cowboys and Apaches put aside their differences to combat an alien invasion in the mid-1800's.

If you are interested in taking a shot at being in the movie, here is the casting call for extras:

egcasting will be casting Cowboys and Aliens this summer, and we will need men to grow out their facial hair, especially the mutton chops and mustaches. Please start growing hair now and send me an updated photo at [email protected] or mail one to

Elizabeth Gabel
304 Washington SE
Albuquerque, NM 87108

Women will have to have long hair and we will cast in smaller sizes: size 8 and below, sorry it is a wardrobe availability problem.
