Rumors have persisted that Charlie Cox, who played Matt Murdock on the now cancelled Daredevil Netflix series, is set to reprise the role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The character is expected to show up in Spider-Man: No Way Home and at least two of the upcoming Disney+ shows (She-Hulk and Echo), but there have also been reports that Marvel Studios might be developing a reboot for the Devil of Hell's Kitchen.
Now, we appear to have confirmation that a new Daredevil project of some description is indeed in development.
Insider Daniel Richtman has taken to Twitter to share part of a talent grid for a Daredevil reboot, and while the image has been closely cropped, it does appear to be the real deal. We don't know if it's a movie or TV series, but a new Disney+ show seems like the safer bet.
Major spoilers ahead.
A recent leak did seem to confirm that Cox will return as Murdock for No Way Home, so it wouldn't be at all surprising if the studio was developing a solo project for the blind hero. Based on everything we've heard, this wouldn't be a continuation of the Netflix series, but nor is it expected to specifically contradict anything that happened over the course of the three seasons.
If this sheet is legit and the Daredevil reboot is now in the early stages of development, we might just get an official announcement via the trades pretty soon, so be sure to keep an eye out for updates.
