JUSTICE LEAGUE Actor Ray Fisher Is Open To Reprising His Role As Cyborg In A TEEN TITANS Film

It's unclear when we'll next see Justice League star Ray Fisher as Cyborg but at an event in Philadelphia, the actor revealed he'd be happy for it to even be in an Teen Titans project. Check it out.

It's safe to say that not many of the principal cast of 2017's Justice League fared well with the material given in that film, despite both this and the fact that the majority of his work was cut from the final product audiences were surprised by how much they enjoyed Ray Fisher's performance as Victor Stone.

Since the release of that film, there's been a lot of speculation as to when we will next see Cyborg on screen. There was a solo outing slated for 2020 and the character was expected to make an appearance in Flashpoint, though we've heard nothing from the former and the latter film has since become a more traditional solo Flash outing since John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein joined the project.

Fans are still looking forward to seeing his return though and at a Q&A at Wizard World in Philadelphia Fisher was asked whether he would be interested in reprising his role for a potential Teen Titans movie, the actor responded by saying, "I mean, nothing is off the table, really." Fisher then went on to reveal that he's less concerned where he'll next appear as the DC character and more with the quality and subject matter of whatever project he does next take part in.

"It's like, stories with consequence actually really appeal to me, where characters are going through a recognisable struggle that I see in everyday life." the actor said, "So if that translates to Titans or a Cyborg standalone or Justice League 2, as long as that's there, I'm sold, man. I'm good with anything."

The chances of a Teen Titans film set within the DCEU are slim, what with the upcoming show that is set to debut on DC Universe, the companies new streaming service. Fisher's comments about subject matter should certainly connect with fans though, especially after the very surface level experience of Justice League.

What do you think? Where would you like to next see the character? Were you a fan of FIsher's portrayal? Leave your thoughts below.

I've always prefered Cyborg as a Teen Titans member to a JLA member.

@Nightwing1015 - A lot of people prefered Cyborg as a Teen Titans member. It was a huge mistake to change his past and make him a Justice League founding member. Another one of Geoff Johns' stupid ideas that backfired beautifuly in the big screen.

@johnnymarr - He, at least, did an amazing job at bringing Marv Wolfman's character to life. His characterization was spot on. Too bad the film was hacked to pieces in post production. I would have liked to see his whole arc. I hope they do his solo film. For some odd reason,he has a hard time keeping an ongoing comic, but I would love for him to have at least one film.

I enjoyed him in JL. Give his character a better movie and bring him back.

So

You are a second rate Cyborg and want to appear alongside the better version.

Rather see that than a standalone movie tbh.

Fuk awful effects and bad writing aside he was probably the only character that was worth sitting through JL for. He did a good job with the material he had which is to his credit. Honestly though he should just look at it as the failure it was and just move on from DC related things. Gadot will only ever have WW and it would be a shame for someone with actual talent to fall into the same trap.

He was probably the best part of JL for me. But yeah I honestly don’t think we’ll see him again especially not in a solo movie

He was the best part about JL. I feel bad for Fisher in a way.

I wish we could've gotten those flashback scenes detailing his origin (football scene). Also the the scene where he uses his powers to provide more exposition about the Mother Boxes.

He was good as Cyborg though.

He shouldn't have been in the Justice League in the first place. He's always been better as a Teen Titan and was mostly shoehorned in there so they could have a robotic hero in the vain of Iron Man part of the team.

In other words, I'm sitting on several crates of Borg Life t-shirts that I need to move out of my storage unit. Please add me to your movie. Help.

Fisher could have worked much better in the context of a Titans film. Cyborg has a deep personal connection with the Titans. They have an interesting family dynamics. His bond with the League doesn't feel genuine.

Dylan O'Brien as Dick Grayson/Nightwing.
Katherine McNamara as Koriand'r/Starfire.
Odeya Rush as Rachel Roth/Raven.
Thomas Brodie-Sangster as Garfield Logan/Beast Boy.
Jessica Lowndes as Komand'r/Queen Blackfire.
Clancy Brown as Commander Trogaar.
There's SO MUCH you can do with Titans.
There's the relationship with Victor and his dad, Dick and Kori's growing romance, Gar and Rachel's Odd Couple-esque relationship and later romance, Kori's rivalry with Kom, not to mention their unique power sets.
I want a Titans movie more than any other movie.
In later sequels, you could bring in Terra, Deathstroke, Blue Beetle, the HIVE, Trigon, Brother Blood, Static, whatever, it has SO MUCH special untapped potential.

@kRAVENklaw - Not only that, but it's tailor made for the Cinematic Universe Zack Snyder created. You could even tell that Wolfman was a huge inspiration on Snyder's take of the character. I have no clue why they haven't put it in their slate yet.
