Deadpool 2 featured a lot of great cameos but arguably the most surprising was the cast of X-Men: Dark Phoenix who could be seen in the background while the Merc with the Mouth went on a foul-mouthed tirade in regards to his sequel not featuring the rest of the team. Beast quietly closed the door in order to ensure that Wade wouldn't spot them in what was a perfectly executed sight gag.
Simon Kinberg shot that scene for Deadpool 2 and now Evan Peters - who plays Quicksilver in the movie - has revealed that the cast shot a number of alternate takes, some of which were R-Rated!
"We were shooting [X-Men: Dark Phoenix], and were like, ‘OK, we’re going to do a quick thing for Deadpool 2,'" the actor recalled. "And I was like, ‘Oh, that’s awesome!’ I thought it was going to be at the end of the film, in the credits, like some sort of funny Easter egg thing. And we had a lot of different versions for when they open that door and turn to us. But the one they used was pretty chill, and was in the first half of the film, which I was like, ‘Oh, Jesus, that’s kind of weird.’"
Asked about those other versions, Peters refused to reveal any specifics and it now remains to be seen whether or not we'll see those on the Blu-ray. "Ummm hmmm… not really sure I can say. There was some fun, dirty stuff." By the sound of it, there's going to be a lot of content on the home release which wasn't seen in theaters but these scenes will more than likely be a highlight for X-Men fans.
