DEADPOOL 2's Ryan Reynolds Weighs In On Josh Brolin Playing Cable...And He's Not Happy

In news it's fair to say none of us saw coming, it was announced today that Thanos himself, Josh Brolin, will play Cable in Deadpool 2 and beyond. It's a long overdue casting reveal and one which has seen a number of high-profile stars considered for. Ryan Reynolds no doubt played a huge role in Brolin being chosen, but that didn't stop him from cracking wise on Twitter as he welcomed Brolin to the cast.

Alongside a pretty bizarre looking promo image, the Deadpool 2 star jokingly made it clear that it's unacceptable for an actor to play two characters in the same universe...he's just not referring to the one we're all thinking about right now as Brolin makes the leap from the MCU to X-Men Universe.

In all seriousness, Brolin being both Cable and Thanos is no big deal, especially as the latter is a motion capture character quite literally worlds apart in every way to the son of Cyclops and Jean Grey. Still, it's hard not to wonder what Kevin Feige and everyone at Marvel Studios thinks about the actor playing this hero in the sequel to an R-Rated movie which beat many of their films critically and commercially!
