DEADPOOL Likely To Go Into Production This Year; Ryan Reynolds Still Attached

According to a new report, Deadpool will finally go into production this year with Ryan Reynolds still set to play Wade Wilson. We also have an update on the status of The Wolverine.

The Geek Files report that Deadpool will indeed go into production at some point this year. While director Tim Miller has been attached to the project since last April, there's been little news in regards to the official status of the spin-off - we were repeatedly assured that it was still happening, just not when exactly. Of course, it was only last week that artist Rob Liefeld revealed that he'd seen eight minutes of test footage for the R-Rated flick.

In other news, the site goes on to reveal that Green Lantern star Ryan Reynolds is still attached to play the 'Merc With A Mouth.' Their sources at 20th Century Fox have also confirmed that The Wolverine will go into production this year.

Deadpool is such a joke even his name is a joke. They call him Wade Wilson because he's a basically a knockoff of dc's Deathstroke, Slade Wilson. Besides, RR breaks the 4th wall in all of his movies anyway, right?

Did I just hear someone say Ryan Reynolds the movie killer? Yeah because Ryan Reynolds is what was wrong with Green Lantern......

If there was ever a comic book character that Ryan Reynolds was born to play its Deadpool. I seriously can't wait to see the first picture of the costume and of him in Costume.

Deadpool starts pre-production this year?! Great news that 20th Century Fox is getting the ball rolling on their Marvel properties. Wolverine 2 and Deadpool will be killer movies and I'm crossing my fingers for the Fantastic Four, Daredevil, and X-Men: First Class 2!

I used to like Ryan Reynolds, but he is so over used now!

I say, Devon Sawa (Nikita) or Jensen Ackles (Supernatural).
Both are great actors, who have experience in the action theme, and they can play some pretty funny characters!





Plus, they are both pretty cut!
They would just need a little more training.

Say what you will about rr but he only agreed to that shitty wolverins origins part if he got a deadpool movie done correctly so we have him to thank that its getting made and if it sucks then you can blame him. I have high hopes personally.

I would also LOVE to see Domino, Oulaw, or Siryn (Currently named Banshee) show up, as a main character.

I think Domino would be coolest though...
A powerful, kick ass female would just make the movie even better!

It would be interesting to see how they would show Deadpool working with a female on screen!

Wow that's reassuring -_- I'm tired of this rumours and for some reason I don't want the film to be made at all anymore, just leave DP in the comics, video games and cartoons. I prefer him having occasional cameos in Avengers EMH than having his own movie, at least he will be portrayed exactly like in the comics.
