No matter what he says, I'm still worried about this movie seeing as its being made by Fox!

If nothing else, lets just hope that Deadpool actually has a costume this time! :)

Reynolds' 3 minutes as Wade Wilson was one of the best parts of that entire movie.

I'm sure he'd rock as Deadpool, but when it's still being handled by Fox, eh...

I ain't too worried about FOX and DEADPOOL, they have already said they are ignoring BORIGINS!!

And anyway as long as they keep to the look an feel of who DEADPOOL is (which they probably will after all the hate all over the whole net lol), with this one we don't have to worry too much!

Its [frick]ing FIRST CLASS, thats the one to worry about!!

DogsOfWar - 1/25/2010, 12:17 PM
Just because they're ignoring Origins doesn't mean they won't find a way to screw it up. Can you imagine them just throwing some lame version of Cable in there with an out of left field story line, I can.

Here's hoping for a good movie and not a cameo fest.

LEE: How can you not be worried!? As DOGS rightly says, they can still ignore Origins and find a way to [frick] the movie up! The sad thing is, now that Fox enjoyed throwing so many cameos into Wolverine they'll probably do the same thing with Deadpool...I can see it now - cameos of characters who shouldnt even be there! ;(

Thanks to Fox, we have an American Emma Frost, a Gambit who would be about 50 in the present (seeing as Origins is supposed to talke place in the 70's/80's) and characters like Blob and Maverick are dead!

JOSH-..GOOD CALL on GAMBIT!..THATS TRUE PRESENT DAY
HE WOULD BE AROUND 50..WTF!

TYLER-LOL..ps im watching FIGHT CLUB right now..LOL!

DEADPOOL..IS GOING TO BE AWESOME (I HOPE) JOSH MADE SOME
GOOD POINTS..BUT I MUST SAY I HAVE FAITH IN THE WRITERS
TO GET THE "TONE" OF DEADPOOL..JUST RIGHT!..AND REYNOLDS
IS GOING TO BE AWESOME AS DEADPOOL..PLUS THE COSTUME
AND THE MASK.. THEY HAVE TO HAVE HIM WEAR THE MASK..CAUSE OF HIS APPEARANCE (sorry about the caps lock)
unless they want a crispy ryan reynolds walking around
Ryan is PERFECT..for deadpool smart ass humor..BUT again
I don't want SONY overcrowding..the cast with worthless cameos..ohh and NO CABLE..They'll just mess him up anyway, SO LEAVE HIM OUT!

I just want to be alive to see deadpool on screen in his costume. If done right, the Deadpool movie could be almost as cool as Kick Ass will be. But yes, fox is involved. The same Studio that destroyed The Fantastic Four, X-men, Alien, and Predator franchises. God Help us all.

@Movietheatrelad
I agree with you. I will admit I hated Barakapool but in the end the experiment leads to the same result, as long as the healing ability is kept and he loses all of the other abilities, we still get the Deadpool we know and love. They can even retcon the reason for Wade joining Weapon X with him looking for a cure for cancer which they promise to him but only after he worked for the Weapon X program as seen in Wolverine. When it comes to the Deadpool spin-off, they can even throw a funny joke in about how his extra powers were stupid and they didnt feel right to him at all. With the writers of Zombieland writing the movie, it might be good but on the otherhand, its Fox making it....

Gambit won't look 50. He ages slower than most mutants. He ages a year for every eight or somehting like that. It's part ofhis unique mutation

On a small tangent...does anyone know who created the pics for this article? I realize that, just because I haven't seen them as part of an 'official' press release, doesn't guarantee that they are Photoshop creations...but...

If they are Photoshopped, the modifier has some serious talent...

...please tell me that the artist *won't* be participating in the Avengers Art contest...the highlight of the contest for me is that I won't be competing against Shaman (who's f*cking phenominal, by the way, and I'd have a snowball's chance in hell of competing with him), but it looks like there may be another monster on the contestant list...
