Why DEADPOOL Should Have Been Released On June 19, 2015 Instead Of FANTASTIC FOUR

In this editorial, we're going to say how much Deadpool movie is important to us and with many reasons, why this movie should have been released on Trank's reboot date now.

Recently, we got an unexcepted and impressive footage of Deadpool movie, and we thought that it wasn't going to be leaked for years until now. After watching that, i was like, "Dear Fox, why this movie wasn't released nowadays?". I mean, despite the much cgi in footage (character himself with those guys), it was fantastic. They nailed the character, especially the fact that he's voiced by Reynolds and it was Deadpool from comics indeed. After the terrible X-Men: Origins release, the movie won't be forgived by general audience and fans due to how Deadpool butchered in second act, and most flaws it had.

For a famous character like him who has not even got a live-action movie, it's dissappointing. And it's more dissappointing that the character is still owned by Fox. And if Fox doesn't like to make it, why not sell it Marvel Studios ? After all, Kevin Feige is known for producing these movies in different genres, which worked successfully (like Cap = world war, Cap 2 = 70s politic, Guardians = Space Opera).

But now, we can say that a Deadpool movie might happen sooner than think, but there's one thing that bugs me: Why not release it on June 19, 2015 instead of Trank's fantastic Four?
That's the question i asked myself yesterday, i mean, did Fox think Fantastic Four is much more important than Deadpool movie ? I think not! Here are some great seasons why:

1-The deadpool himself

Despite some avengers, x-men, and spider-man character got their own live-action appearance, there's one character who wasn't in live-action movie, and that's Deadpool (totally forget Origins, i mean this movie doesn't exist after all!)
The character is funny, his issues are top-selling in Marvel comics, and the character is famous to most comic-book fans and many more people like Spiderman or Iron Man. The concept of him is super-cool, a funny guy with a humor who breaks 4th wall and this character is enjoyable all the time to many people. I just love him, and one of the reasons i love Marvel is the deadpool himself. They can really make him work in a live-action, and translate him to the movie, very much easy. While the depressing Fox is going to reboot one of their franchises, and i was like "WTF, you completely ruined the team, doctor doom, and galactus. And you're impressed with reboot?" I hope it be like Deadpool issue, where they reveted the rights, oh and another reason....

2-How the hell Fantastic Four is going to be linked with X-Men ? There's no things to cross-over. [Frick] you Kinberg and Fox!

When we hear that these 2 franchises were going to cross-over, i was pretty shocked in a very negative way and completely say that Why the hell they need to cross-over when the set, concept, and anything of them are different all-together. Sure they did in comics, but in movies ? A big nope. You know that Fantastic Four is indeed more cosmic than earth, which X-Men is at this point and the franchise has not even gone cosmic yet, and one of the reasons they need to revert rights to Marvel Studios and expand the cosmic universe of MCU with Guardians started it.
Fantastic Four has much more incredible villains like Doom, Galactus, Badoons, Skrulls/Super Skrulls to use, but whats with cross-over ? Like Doom and Magneto team-up or both teams fight Galactus ? I'm just laughing so hard that Fox ever thought of this. There's not such a thing to think of and it doesn't make sense to add, especially the fact that Days of Future Past added new time-line with its time-traveling and adding characters from Fantastic Four is indeed a mistake. That's why X-men needs to be separate and they can introduce hundreds of X-men who is needed to be introduced (Gambit again, Dazzler, Archangel, Mr.Sinister, etc.). And i all blame Simon Kinberg to even add the idea of rebooting Fantastic four reboot, sure he re-wrote DOFP and i'm glad he did, but adding the marvel's first family is much unneeded to the universe which all takes on Earth and not once on Space.

On the other hand...

3- A Deadpool movie can lead to X-Force movie and expand much more of X-men universe, with an awesome humor!

Think of Deadpool and how much it can be good for X-men universe ? A lot, much more than Fantastic Four unnecessary cross-over. A Deadpool movie can be good, fun, and entertaining and at the same time, this movie can introduce one of the beloved-teams aka X-Force. With rumors of Cable will be introduced in Apolacypse, we'd have Deadpool movie with Cable in post-credit scene, somehow leading to X-force movie, rather than making Wolverine (for 8th time, urgh..) appear in Trank's F4 in post-credit scene.
Also, with seriousness of X-men series is (Admit it, it's not as funny as Avengers or Guardians, though it has Quicksilver funny scene <3 ), the character can add humor to the series, than having a gritty, nolany, realistic Fantastic Four in X-men universe.

And indeed...

4- Deadpool is better than Fantastic Four, i admit!

Before this, i don't hate Fantastic Four, i honestly love the team (Thing, Human Torch), and they're marvel's first family team, but i don't care if Fantastic Four is created before Deadpool, i just think Deadpool character is much more funnier, better than the group all-together. Here's why:

Mister Fantastic = A guy who can stretch his body = Meh, decent. "Check"
Invisible Woman = A woman who invisibles herself = Only sexy, but meh. decent. "Check"
Human Torch = A guy who flames on and blah = He's cool and decent, but much better than previous two. "Check"
Thing = A guy who is a rocky orange creature = Love him, but he can't top Groot or Hulk for sure. "Check"

While Deadpool = A guy who is hell of funny and breaks 4th wall while being too violent = One of the best characters of Marvel in history.

--------

These are the fully reasons i really support Deadpool movie over the Gritty Four, and if Deadpool would be released on June 19, 2015, it'd make the universe expand faster than adding a team to X-men and things will be more complicated than ever!!!

So, what do you think ? Share your opinions here.

Then how would FOX keep the rights to The Fantastic Four?

Somebody had to say it.

Young director starts his career with a suprisingly very sucessful movie and goes on to start a franchise with a science fiction film that everyone expects to fail, Thus that sound like George Lucas in the 70s to you? Cause the person I was refering to was Josh Trank. Everyone is hating on Fantastic Four but what if it becomes the next Star Wars. Both movies also have a sense of adventure and family. Acording to Simon Kinberg the film will feel like a found footahe film even though it most likely won't be. That's certanly a unique style. I really think that people will be suprised by the movie and that it will be very sucessful. George Lucas/ Josh Trank, American Graffiti/ Chronicle, Star Wars/ Fantastic Four

@BatzFTWfan Well the original Star Wars was also made by Fox. I'm just saying that there are a lot of signs indicating that this might be the next Star Wars.

Yeah sure, i'd prefer a Deadpool film over a FOX Fantastic Four film. That test footage was good, i enjoyed it and it just makes me excited for a Deadpool movie.

I just don't think that FOX should keep the rights to F4. I mean FOX can keep the X-men and it's other mutant based properties and give F4 back to Marvel.

@dethpillow I think that they will most likeyl crossover when they start to explore the origin of the mutants.

I understand that Fox wanted to keep the F4 rights, which is why they are trying so hard to get the movie out soon. As for Deadpool, I have a strong feeling that Fox leaked the footage to see how people would react because they don't know what the order of their dates should be. They've got X4, X-Force, Deadpool, First Class 2, and Gambit, so maybe they are unsure of what order to put it in and are trying to see if Deadpool should come soon.

So, because Fox ruined the FF in the first 2 movies, it shouldn't be rebooted, but sold back to Marvel. But, Deadpool was ruined in his debut as well, but a reboot of the character is a good idea?

Conflicting feelings because of no love for the FF? hmmm...

I want this Deadpool movie more than most. I'm a massive Deadpool fan, and a HUGE Ryan Reynolds fan. The footage that was released is the best CBM footage I've ever seen, and Reynolds proves why he's the only choice for Deadpool in under 2 minutes.

But, it seems like this article is moreso based on disappointment about the FF reboot than about wanting a Deadpool movie. You don't give any reasons as to why Deadpool should've been in FF's spot, other than an off-the-shoulder X-Force reference.

Deadpool needs to happen, and that's why this footage was released. It's a "leak" to test audience approval and fan interest. Fox will make this movie, now that the rage from Origins is gone, and their CBM properties are on the upswing. First Class, The Wolverine, and DOFP have restored the reputation of Fox, and you'll see them become more active in the CBM world.

And Trank's FF reboot is gonna be as fantastic as the title suggests. But, I warn you, it will not be a run-of-the-mill CBM.

@dethpillow I'm pretty sure that the contracts are that they can use the characters whatever way they like. If they make a crossover they're just using both groups in a movie.
Alphadog
Alphadog - 7/31/2014, 1:52 AM
@dethpillow I don't think that the contract is that they have to make a fantastic four movie, it's that those characters have to appear in a film.

@dethpillow And Franklin Richards was already mentioned in an X-men movie so wouldn't that already break the contract if what you're saying is true?

@Alphadog

"And Franklin Richards was already mentioned in an X-men movie so wouldn't that already break the contract if what you're saying is true?"

I'm not saying you are wrong, but I'm not sure it's that easy. There was an alien Xenomorph skull in Predator 2, but I would imagine that they would need FOX's permission to use Xenomorphs in a Predator movie. Aunt may mentioned Superman in one of the Raimi Spider-man movies, but I don't think Sony could just put Superman in a Spider-man movie.

@NitPicker Ok that's true.
Alphadog
Alphadog - 7/31/2014, 12:44 PM
@dethpillow What makes you think that the contract is for their own movies instead of just using the characters?
Alphadog
Alphadog - 7/31/2014, 12:49 PM
I think that they just have to make a movie with a significant appearance of the FF or the X-men. Besides, if the movie is a part of both franchises than how can they be sued. A crossover doesn't change the rules. It's just both groups getting their own movie. I can't see how the fact that another group also has a significant role in the movie to the point that it can also be argued that it's their movie would make it into a new kind of deal.

@dethpillow Ok I get it now. I understand the issues that would probably arise.
