Disney is looking to spruce up its live-action Aladdin remake by tapping former Game of Thrones scribe, Vanessa Taylor, to rewrite the script according to The Tracking Board.

Taylor will be working off of a John August draft that he wrote with director Guy Ritchie. August is still producing the picture with Dan Lin, which will begin production in London next month. Also on the producing team is Executive Producer Jonathan Eirich, with Marc Platt and Chris Montan consulting.

Ritchie recently found his lead roles of Aladdin and Jasmine by casting Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott, respectively. Joining the two leads is Will Smith, who will play the iconic Genie.
