There are a lot of original TV shows coming to Disney+, but movies also look set to be a big part of the new streaming service. Next Tuesday, things will kick off with a live-action remake of Lady and the Tramp, a movie which uses real animals rather than CGI ones, similar to what we saw in The Lion King.

Starring Tessa Thompson and Justin Theroux, Lady and the Tramp delivers a timeless re-telling of the 1955 animated classic as a pampered house dog and a tough but lovable stray embark on an adventure and, despite their differences, grow closer and come to understand the value of home.

In this gallery of hi-res images from the movie, we get to see live-action takes on key moments from the animated classic, the human cast (who haven't received much of the spotlight to date), and the adorable pooches who are bound to steal the hearts of moviegoers everywhere next week.

I've followed that Cocker Spaniel's work. She's a very good actress, and this will put her on the map.

A movie staring real mostly expressionless animals. Hopefully it’s better than Disney’s last remake which had cgi expressionless animals

@WilliamCipher - yeah but when your dealing with talking animals your always going to loose a lot of the charm in live action. Worked in Jungle book because they didn’t try to be super realistic with the animals. Lion king, well we know Jon favero wanted it to look real. Now it’s actual animals with voices. Was probably for the best that the 101 Dalmatians remake from back in the day had no talking dogs.

I’m curious if the end credits scene will depict the sequel: Lady and the Tramp 2: The Bitch is Back.

I'm not sure about this one. I haven't seen these dogs in other roles, and, was this a comic book at some point, or is this site doing ads for non-comic book films now?
