DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS Deleted Scene Sees Bruce Campbell's Pizza Poppa Plot His Revenge

A new deleted scene from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has been released, this time showing Bruce Campbell's Pizza Poppa swearing vengeance on Stephen Strange following their encounter...

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness spent a lot of time on Earth-838, and it was there Marvel Studios introduced us to the idea of Pizza Balls. A slice of pizza in a spherical shape, America Chavez helped herself to some before realising that they weren't free. That didn't sit well with Pizza Poppa, an irate street vendor who demanded money from Stephen Strange.

With his mind on other things (like, you know, all of reality being in peril courtesy of the Scarlet Witch), the former Sorcerer Supreme cast a spell that left Pizza Poppa - played by Evil Dead legend and regular Sam Raimi collaborator Bruce Campbell - beating himself up.

An underwhelming post-credits sequence saw Pizza Poppa finally break free of the spell, but a new deleted scene instead shows him vowing to take his revenge on Stephen Strange. It's a fun moment, but not one we expect to see addressed in any way further down the line, regardless of whether it had been included in the movie or, as we now know it was, left on the cutting room floor.

Rumour has it Campbell was supposed to play a Balder the Brave Variant in the Doctor Strange sequel, with this cameo added during reshoots after he was swapped out for Mister Fantastic.

Check out this newly released Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness deleted scene below:

In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the Marvel Cinematic Universe unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. We'll journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.

The movie's cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. The film is directed by Sam Raimi, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Loki Head Writer Michael Waldron.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now playing in theaters. It then arrives on Disney+ on June 22 and hits Blu-ray, 4k Ultra HD, and DVD on July 26.

Fine, but I liked what we got instead.

I think it's the best of the recent MCU post-credit scenes they have given us thus far.

It's an alright cameo that harkons back to Ash.

I think we all wanted Bruce to play a more significant role but what we got works.

@Blergh - True, but like Raimi's Spider-Man films, it was just going to be a minor cameo.

Oh boy, seeing those delicious pizza balls burning in the back is Stephen Strange's biggest offense.

"An underwhelming post credits scene"

That was easily best post credits scene of all them. A beautiful troll featuring Bruce Campbell. You got your Skippy McDippy appearance in the mid credits scene.

Ah yes, the "fun" Pizza Poppa scene. Time will tell if Strange can redeem himself from that shit in my eyes.

Bruce campbell scene was easily the worst part of Dr. Strange. It felt so forced and corny. Hated it.
