DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS Star Elizabeth Olsen Was Never On Set With [SPOILER] And [SPOILER]

Movie magic was appropriately present while Marvel Studios was making Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, as Elizabeth Olsen has named two key cast members she never met on the movie's set...

In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the Scarlet Witch is able to take control of one of her Variants and unleashes pure chaos in The Illuminati's Universe. When the group confronts her, Wanda makes short work of them, killing Mister Fantastic and Black Bolt with ease before battling Captain Carter and Captain Marvel. From there, she snaps the neck of poor Professor X!

During an interview with Cinema Blend, Elizabeth Olsen was asked how it felt to welcome John Krasinski and Sir Patrick Stewart into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and made an astounding confession. "I've never met them [Laughs]," she confirmed. "Movie magic!"

That's pretty incredible, but not surprising. While Stewart was always expected to appear in the sequel (he first mentioned being approached by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige a couple of years ago), the secrecy surrounding his cameo likely involved a closed set. As for Krasinski, it's thought he was brought in during last year's reshoots to make The Illuminati a little more star-studded.

As for why taking out the team wasn't even easier for the Scarlet Witch, Olsen explained: "We decided that the limitation is that she isn't in her body, she's in a "less oiled" version of her body so it's not capable of doing as much as our universe's Wanda could do. It's more about using the body like a bad car or something, like a not-so-tuned-up car. I wanted it to be easier [Laughs]."

Needless to say, we're hoping Marvel Studios shot plenty of behind the scenes footage from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as we're intrigued by how this sequence was pieced together!

While, as I said before, it was really cool to see Wanda killing the Illuminati one by one, gotta say, they looked cool as [frick]. I mean, Black Bolt???? I had to check that Anson Mount was playing him.

Waiting for Krasinski to be officially announced as the main timeline's Reed, he got the biggest reaction.

Xavier and Black Bolt were crazy and amazing. This movie is a live-action comic book. And the music that played when Xavier rolled in...

I really liked the film. Yes it had some story issues, and could have been slightly longer to give it some breathing room to help build the characters stories a little more. But in general it was a fun movie. A lot of people, especially non comic book readers, have an issue with Wanda being the villain in this film because they feel it came out of nowhere. And I think that fault lies more with the WandaVision tv series. Fans of the comics understood what the Darkhold was, and knew when we saw Wanda reading it at the end meant that she was basically being drawn into black magic. So we all understood where she was heading. But non readers didn't get that with the ending, because they really didn't explain the Darkhold well enough for people to know she was being twisted by it. They all assumed Wanda ended the show in peace and was now just happy and relaxing in her cabin. Then suddenly, to them , she is evil in this movie. The other issue a lot of people had was they felt the illuminati were wasted because they were killed off so quickly, but again that is because they missed the point that these are variants from another Earth, so we will still get the FF and X-Men done the line in the main MCU, so relax. I think though the main reason why this film is not getting a high rating is simply because for the past few years when we heard the title of the movie we all built up this story so big in our minds that the real film could just never compete. We all assumed just because it had multiverse in the title that it was going to be this massive film with all these different universes fighting and every single Marvel character in it. But that was not what this film was, it was very simply a Dr Strange film and not a huge Marvel Saga. And that is fine.

I feel it was a missed opportunity not to have Wanda (the one with the actual kids) fight “The Scarlet Witch”. She was literally trying to take over her life and pretty much separate her from her actual family. That’s definitely something to fight for.

I guess that's pretty much the only way you can put so many big named actor in the same movie. I imagine that's pretty hard to schedule.

@Drace24 -

I remember Feige and the Russos having said something similar for Infinity War and Endgame. They used to call those movies a "logistical nightmare", and I can only imagine that this kind of issue is going to become more frequent as the franchise moves forward and even more characters get introduced.

We don't realize how spoiled we are. It's a miracle these movies work as well as they do.
