Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to introduce a multitude of new characters and concepts to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and we now have a first look at one of the many Variants we'll meet in Sam Raimi's sequel.
The trailers have already revealed some of the movie's alternate incarnations of Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), including a seemingly evil version of the character fans have dubbed "Doctor Strange Supreme." There was speculation that this must be the same Strange we saw in the animated What If...? Disney+ series, but we recently got confirmation that this version of the hero was actually Sinister Strange.
Now, thanks to a new Funko POP, we have a first glimpse of a diffrent Variant known as Supreme Strange, who appears to be an all-new incarnation of the Master of the Mystic Arts without his trademark goatee and a white and blue costume.
We also have POPs for other characters, including Scarlet Witch, Sara, America Chavez, and Rintrah.
In Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, with Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. The film is directed by Sam Raimi, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Michael Waldron.
The Doctor Strange sequel releases in U.S. theaters on May 6, 2022.
