Production on Marvel's The Eternals has reportedly been halted after the discovery of an unexploded bomb on the Canary Island of Fuerteventura where the movie is currently shooting.

According to The Sun (not always the most reliable of sources, but this appears to have been corroborated since), what's thought to be a remnant armament from a Nazi base was found near the set, forcing the likes of Angelina Jolie and Richard Madden to relocate to a secure spot on the island while the professionals removed the bomb from the area.

"It was obviously terrifying – the bomb could have been there for decades untouched but who knows what might have happened if it was disturbed," an onlooker explained to the tabloid. "Some of the biggest stars in the world were on set and nobody was taking any chances."

Hopefully this gets sorted out in a timely fashion and filming can restart soon. The Eternals is currently scheduled for release on November 6, 2020.
