You could really believe that this Alfred was a Badass in his day.



Donald Sutherland
Sutherland would be a great Alfred.



Ian McKellen
McKellen would nail this role.



John Hurt
Hurt would be a class act all the way.



Malcolm McDowell
I have seen him suggested for this part many times and wouldn't be disappointed if he got the part.



Sean Connery
Hell it's Sean Connery who wouldn't want this to happen.



Timothy Dalton
Dalton would be awesome.

Why do I feel like this is just every old British guy with grey hair left in the business?

Donald Sutherland or Jeremy Irons. I really like those for Pennyworth. Dalton would be great in a few more years down the road. The rest are either too old or too villain like for Alfred. I know Alfred is old, but if we are talking another trilogy or plus, it needs to be someone whom can withstand that period of filming. Also, I would love to see some action thrown Alfreds way, much like in the fire scene in Begins.

Oh, if we are going old and British, what about Stephen Fry or Stephen Rea or even Roger Allam? V is one of my favorites!

McKellan or Hurt would be my top picks to take the role over from Michael Caine.

Sean Connery would be wishful thinking but I like it.
