FAN CAST: Spider-Man 6 - Sinister Six

Here are my casting choices for Spider-Man, MJ, Black Cat and The Sinister Six!

Many users, including myself, believe that the Sinister Six should appear in Spider-Man 6 (c'mon, the marketing makes sense, lol!) so I've decided to make a cast of the main characters that I think should appear in this movie if it does in fact ever happen. (I havent included characters like JJJ or Aunt May as they've already been cast pretty perfectly in my opinion) I've chosen to use the original members of the supervillain team despite the fact that the movie's continuity would mean that it would perhaps make more sense to use other characters. Anyway, here are my choices for the movie's main cast!

Bret Harrison as Peter Parker/Spider-Man

Spider-Man


I first suggest Bret Harrison for the role in my article, 'Why Bret Harrison is Perfect for the Role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man!' Since then I havent changed my mind and think that he'd be the perfect choice to portray the Peter Parker that we all know from the comic books!

Christina Hendricks as Mary Jane Watson

MJ

If this movie were to happen then it'll be busy enough without having Gwen as another love interest so just stick with what we've had for the past films but with Hendricks who is not only a better actress than Dunst but also far better looking as MJ has always been portrayed in the comic books. However, I would also be happy to have MJ as just a friend in the movie rather than as a romntic interest.

Elisha Cuthbert as Black Ca

Black Cat

A great actress and the best choice for Felicia Hardy in my opinion. She also happens to look perfect for the part. I think that the character's role in the film would be as a helping hand to Spider-Man in his battle against the Six whilst the chemistry between the two could be pretty entertaining depending on what they do with Black Cat in Spider-Man 4 and 5.

Ok, I'm not going to come up with the explanation of how he returns from the dead but I'm sure that there is a way it could be done (if they wanted to) If that does end up happenning then I wouldnt want anyone than the original to take the part! He did an amazing job in Spider-Man 2 and more Doc Ock on the big screen could only be a good thing!

Thomas Haden Church as Sandman

Sandman

For me, Church was the only decent thing in Spider-Man 3! Sure he turned good at the end of the movie but remember that in the comic books he was even a member of The Avengers for a while so its hardly unrealistic to think that he might switch back to being a bad guy in the movies!

Ben Foster as Electro

For anyone who saw his performances in '30 Days of Night', '3:10 To Yuma' or even 'My Name is Earl' the you'll know what a great actor this guy is and how well he can play calm and cool one minute and outright crazy the next! For me, this is just how Electro should be portrayed onscreen as he is in the comic books!

Bruce Campbell as Mysterio

Well, its already been rumoured but I think that Campbell is a great choice for the character and could easily handle a role which is more than just a cameo!

Gerard Butler as Kraven

Im not a fan of seeing Kraven as a movie's solo villain but I'd definitely like to see him make it to the big screen and for me Butler has the right intensity to pull off Kraven perfectly! In my opinion, he also looks perfect for the part and I find it easy to imagine him making the role his own and incredibly memorable.

Leon Russom as Vulture

Vulture

I know that Ben Kingsley is a popular choice but I personally think that could easily pull off being a scary rather than cheesy villain especially after watching him in 'Prison Break'.

perfect casting in my opinion! bret harrison is great in the tv show REAPER.
(am I the only one who watches that show)

I really don't like Bret Harrison. Vincent Kartheiser or Jake Gyllenhaal for Spider-Man. They both look like Peter Parker. You take the "I hate you dad" attitude that Connor has in Angel, and turn it into Spidey's sarcasm. Except for Harrison, the rest of the casting is stellar.

As for ya picks, well ya know i like you know who for SPIDEY but i like yours too man!

BLACK CAT, hmmm lol, yeah shes the perfect SUPERGIRL but then thats DC so why not lol, though i really like SurPrizes choice! But kudos!!

SINISTER SIX: is a HELL YES, i'd pick 'em too, good stuff man!!

Like the new VULTURE pick man, good stuff!!

I'm glad you've stuck with wanting THE SINISTER SIX in SPIDEY 6, its a must and connects all the films together, a nice finish!!

I have no idea why a true comic book fan would not want this?? An i know a few on here, but forgot who they was who don't???

Because SPIDER-MAN 6: SINISTER SIX would be [frick]ING AMAZING!!!

6of13: Cheers, Im not really familiar with Kartheiser but Jake Gyllenhaal is my second choicefor who I'd like to see as Spider-Man! I'd be perfectly happy if Harrison were to be cast as Bucky and Gyllenhaal as Spidey!

LEE: Thanks dude! :) The Sinister Six could work easily in a future Spider-Man movie as long as they use 4 & 5 to set the whole thing up! Spider-Man has faced off against the Sinister [frick]ing Twelve in Mark Millar's run for God's sake so if he can survive that in the comic books then I see no reason why its not possible for him to face six villains in a movie! It would be bloody epic!!! :D

Each of the Six has almost beaten Spider-Man many times on their own but using that as an excuse why they couldnt be in a movie is crazy - its not reality, its a movie based on a comic book! Whether something is possible or not is down to the writers!

Glad you liked the new choices though...I thought about using a different actress for MJ but look at Hendricks (her face not boobs, lol) she's exactly how MJ should be portrayed in a live action movie!!!

Very good cast.

I would only change MJ and Vulture, probably Black Cat too, though they're just personal preferences.

Bret's perfect for Spidey of course, and Foster IS Electro, bar none! As is Butler as Kraven!

Even though I don't like the idea of a Sinister 6 movie, this cast is great.

P.S. Keep an eye out in the next few days for my Superman and Flash Combo Cast, I'm finished with the choices all I have to do is make all the pics.

Nice cast, Bret Harrison is my number 2 choice for Spidey second to Jim Sturgess. I can see Christina Hendricks as MJ she has HUUUGE.....um...eyes..yeah that's it ;)

But seriously nice choices the only one I'm not crazy over is Eelctro, I like Ben Foster but I don't see how everyone wants him for Electro...Kevin Bacon al the way man ;D

In fact they're two of the nicest and ahem, biggest, eyes I've seen! ;D I think I was one of the first to suggest Foster as Electro a few months back in my first Spider-Man cast - I'm telling you man, he's perfect for the character!!! :)

brill cast @joshw24@! i dont think theres one i dont like and i would be happy to see all of these actors in the movie!! never heard of russom but he looks right for vulture even tho my top choice is kingsly!

sigh....you guys and your boobs lol!! hendricks is a gr8 choice for mj but i could also see her as black cat because she has the big boobs that terry dodson is so fond of drawing her with lmao!!!

Thanks to you FAD, we CBMers are now fond of three things:

1- CBMs
2- Boobs
3- YOU!!!! (and your boobs, that's a given...)

Josh, PERFECT CASTING!!! In fact, any more perfect and you'd have to throw a picture of Jensen Ackles as Captain America up there LOL :P Thank you for switching from Brolin (which i just found out would make a stellar Punisher) to Gerard Butler ;)

You're actually right she does in fact have the right, uh...'frame' for one of Dodson's Black Cat (or any female character the guy draws - I do like his art a lot though for the record!) I probably would have chosen Kingsley but I picked him last time and wanted to think of someone new! And hey, if you ever want to dress as Black Cat for us CBM users then we'll all be extremely grateful I;m sure, lol! ;)

Watchtower31: Thanks and I agree - Raimi struggled to handle three villains (though to be fair the script was the biggest part of that particular problem!) so if he is going to be in charge of a movie featuring the Sinister Six then I just hope he could handle it...if not, bring in someone new!

Shaman: I couldnt be any more fond of those three things, lol! :D Thanks for your comment man, I appreciate that! I liked Brolin for Kraven back then but the more I've though about it the more I became convinced that he wasnt the best choice for the role...which led me to Gerard Butler and as your excellent sketch shows he is perfect for the role!

STEVENSON was a good PUNISHER bad it was a really sh1t movie like BORIGINS, TOM JANE is the perfect PUNISHER!!

Well done man. I would see this f***in movie.

I'd buy the gaddamned DVD... if the studios didn't send them to me for free.

My only problem is still Ben Foster. He is by far teh best choice suggested for the role. But my problem is that I think his skills would be wasted in the role. I always wanted him for Ben Riely, but that's me.

Nice to see Jimmy Olsen as Spidey! Much bettter than Jake Geyllebnmf...bhjkfbnksl... blaaaaa... Ant-eater girls brother.


ANd looking at you Cat pick, it reafirms my choice of her as Powergirl. perfect in evey way.

@LEEE&Shaman. I'm gonna let ya'll finish in a second, btu Thomas Jane was and always will be the best Punisher.

joshw24 @ That's a great casting, I only disagree with Mary Jane and Black Cat picks.

For Mary Jane I would cast someone younger, like Amanda Righetti (Grace from "The Mentalist"). Beside Christina Hendricks is already my pick for Jean Grey in X4.

And for Black Cat, well, there isn't any problem with Elisha Cuthbert, it's just cause she's my pick for Wasp (you should see some pics of her in "He Was A Quiet Man"). IMO both Diora Baird and Yvonne Strahovski would do a great Black Cat.

I don't disagree with either of the choices for Peter or MJ, but you couldn't have them both, only one or the other, she is like 20 years older than him. Of course you could always play the Graduate angle ;)

"Just got official word that there is absolutely no chance of Reaper going another year. It has been dropped by all involved. Boooo. @Joshw24. Well man I think if done right teh CLone Saga would be an awesome movie. After seeing Raimi's style over teh years, I could easily see him warm up to the idea. Unfortunately I think I was the only guy to actually like the Clone Saga.

As for teh movies... I have connections. I'm a writer, a poor one but still a writer. Anyway I have a friend at WB, and i have some contacts in the Screen Writers Guild, so if I want movie I can get a free copy. i was even able to go to a preview screening of Transformers 2 in LA, which was awesome to do.

Unfortunately my contcts don't ensure that scripts I've pitched will ever get picked up, so I ghost write mostly. I can't knock it, it's good money.

THEHAWK: Unfortunately I've never read the Clone Saga but I've read a lot about it and I'm reading the new mini series. From what I do know about it I too think it would work well in a movie but I wish Marvel would release it (or at least the key issues) in a graphic novel!

I should have guessed from all of your excellent pieces of Fan Fic that you were a writer! I can imagine what a hard industry it is to get into but I wish you the best of luck bud! :)

MovieTheaterLad: Lol, a quick Google search reveals her bust size to be 38DD, so is that too big for MJ? I honestly have no idea! ;D

The Clone Saga was... unique. Deadpool ragged it alot in his first series. It was met with negative reaction by alot of people.

Writing is my dream goal. I wish to write full time, but for now I work at an add agency to help get by. Writing is hard ot do, it's very competative. A lot of people 'think' they can write and flood the market so to speak. So the big studios are weary about letting new blood write for them.

And i am glad you enjoyed my stories, look for my next story soon. I guarentee it will be "Super".

I am debating releasing it after i am done with the sequel though.

Great casting, much props.

@LEEE- Jake would have been a great replacement for Tobey if he weren't able to return for the sequel [remember the speculation]. Jake looks too much like Tobey to be Spider-Man in a reboot.
We need a new face, a face which more closely resembles the Peter Parker from the comics, that face is none other than Bret Harrison [or perhaps Jim Sturgess].

Definitely with you though on Cuthbert, and sort of with you on Gyllenhaal.
That aside though, if Kraven is to make an appearence, Vladimir Mashkov should be offered the role...
